Good Writing Sites for US,UK, Canadian Based Writers

The Writers Wish

Writing Sites for US, UK, Canadian Based Writers

The aim of any writer is to move up the ladder which, for those who work online, means finding writing sites that will compensate for time and effort.

Whether you are an established writer with admirable proof of qualification and experience or you are just starting out in the field of writing, finding a writing site to settle with can be quite a tiresome and time consuming task.

As a freelance writer, I am constantly on the search for better and higher paying opportunities. One of the main challenges I find is that the higher paying sites restrict their writing pool to include only US based and sometimes UK, Canadian writers. To make it easier for other freelance writers, and those of you who want to enter the field of earning online as a writer, I decided to spend some time and use this hub to list sites that accept only US based writers. Another hub will follow shortly on writing sites that accept international writers.

List of Writing Sites

Please bear in mind that the list made here is by no means exhausted (far from it).

Quality Gal

It is stated on their website that they are always accepting applications. They provide writers with the tools and support to become better SEO writers. They welcome both beginners and veterans. Pay per article starts at approximately $15, and payment is made every Friday via Paypal, but you must submit your invoice by 3 p.m. EST on Thursday. Reviews for this site seems quite good so all you US writers stop complaining and start applying. SMILES

Many of you may have come across this site while you researched one topic or another. At the time of my research they were not accepting writers, but keep them on your list and check every once in a while to see if they are hiring. According to their policies writers do not have to promote their own articles. You decide when and where to work once you have internet connection. You submit a batch of five articles and get paid $10 - $14 for each two days later (I've seen reviews that say up to four days later). You select the topic from those supplied and stick to their writing style requirement.

Two articles are to be submitted with your application then there is a three test phase where you will first be required to write three articles. The other two phases involve the editing process, and their assessment of how you applied the editorial suggestions. You will be compensated for these articles, but you must past the tests to be accepted as a writer. Minimum word count seems to be 400 words.

Note: I saw a review which says they accept international writers. I'll have to dig into that bit some more, but when I visited the site they asked for confirmation that I am a US citizen.

Article Content Provider

This site seems exciting. Writers are welcomed from the US, UK, Canada and Australia. Job opportunities include: Article Writer, Website Content Writer, EBook Writer, Newsletter Content Writer, Sales Letter Writer, Press Release Writer, Blogger, Reseller and Translation jobs. Pay ranges from $10 and over per article and $100 and over for a blog per month.

This company is based in Tampa and is currently seeking a lot of high level bloggers. They provide training for their writers. Writers have the opportunity to get certified to write in various unique content areas (you must be certified before receiving assignments for these areas). They pay $20 per 500 word articles for beginners. Once you have proven your skills you get the opportunity to earn $30 per 500 word article and $60 per 1000 word article.

They pair/assign writers to articles based on their location and that of the customer. For example US writers to US clients/work, and UK writers to UK clients/work.

I'll close with this one for today (time constraints), but will continue to add to it.Hopefully someone's life will be made a little easier through the information in this hub. Happy hubbing/writing to you my fellow hubbers/writers.

I know exactly what you mean rasta1. Ever so often the location barrier comes into play when it comes to writing for better rates. Stay tuned for the hub on sites for international writers. You may find something there. :)

This is a great resource for first world country writers. I wish I could take up one of these opportunities because the pay is good.
