Trust Agents

Updated on August 18, 2009

On August 24th, 2009, Trust Agents will finally make its debut. It promises to be the most anticipated book on web business this year. Written by Chris Brogan and Julien Smith, it details myriad ways which an individual or (especially) a company can use the new social media to market themselves, manage their reputations, and create buzz. Seth Godin is already on board as a big fan, so you know there must be something more to this than so many of the thin Internet books of the past many years.

Trust Agents: Using the Web to Build Influence, Improve Reputation, and Earn Trust is I imagine a sort of continuation and going beyond of the books of the 2007 era such as Wikinomics and others. (I can't remember their names at the moment.)

It will detail various case studies to show the point of why and how you can and should devote resources to getting the word out electronically. I don't know if he will actually go into things like gaming the social media sites. We will have to wait and see for that.

Reviews of Trust Agents

The initial reviews which have so far trickled into Amazon are quite promising. Whose are they? How did these people get the book early? I don't know; I suspect they have a connection to Chris Brogan. Nevertheless, by reading them i was able to get a good idea of what this book is about and how well it delivers on the promise inherent in its title. I do not think we are going to be disappointed.
