Why Community Blogging Sites are Better than Niche and Personal Blogs

Updated on April 7, 2011

There was once a trend of making blog on Blogger or Wordpress and sharing your ideas, but everything seems to be changed with community blogging sites like Hubpages. With increasing trend of freelance writing and with boom of blogging sites, the Blogging world has been shifting from niche or personal blogs to community blogging sites like Hubpages and Squidoo. There are many reasons why these community blogging sites are such a Hit.

1. Boom of Blogs

With boom of blogs, the blogosphere is bombarded with plethora of blogs. With Big Daddies already there, who will going to identify me. Here Community sites take away the prize money to make small bloggers more identifiable and readable on the web.

2. Free Publicity and Space

You don't need to worry for space or publicity for your articles. These community websites do it on behalf of you. With a space to showcase your work to thousands of regular visitors, it is easy to publicity on no cost.

3. No Need to Be Specific or Regular

The problem for niche websites, that you can't work out of the box, your readers expect topic niche or regularity in your website. Where there is no such problem in community website, you can write anything at point of time.

4. Money Talks

How can I make money when I don't have enough readers to read my work and with 40-50 page views, there is no load of money coming to me. This is the point where community blogging sites scores most. They not only give you new identity but gives place to showcase your work to your readers and that’s converting into more money

As many before have pointed out Hubpages is much more than a 'blogging' site. Over the 2+ years that I have been here I have joined many other sites and have yet to come across one that is as easy to use as HubPages.

There are many interesting Hubs to read on Hubpages too. When you don't wish to write you can read the writings of others.
