Work From Home Business For Moms

Updated on September 23, 2014

When I first started my home based business, I remember feeling overwhelmed before I even started because I wasn't sure what to expect. All I knew at the time was that I was a stay at home mom that wanted to feel productive again because having a baby is a wonderful, but soon after I started to miss being in a work environment.

Listed below will be tips for stay at home moms starting a home based business.

1). Figure out what your interest are. Being a woman we love beauty, fashion, sewing, and so much more. When starting a home based business, the most important step would be to figure out what "niche" you love. when you love what you do, it doesn't feel like work.

2). Be willing to invest in your new business if necessary. Decide if you want to be an affiliate or you want to start an MLM business (Multi level Martketing)

Affiliate Marketing- Earn commissions for marketing specific or specified products for a retailer or brand on Your own efforts. You get paid when someone visits and/or pays for the item.

Multilevel Marketing- Earn sale based commissions for sales you personally generate, but also earn commissions or percentages for sales people you recruit. (down-line). You may or may not be asked to gather a list of people you know to start your business off. You will most likely have to prospect on/off line.

3).After you decide what you want to do, You must figure out what percentage you would feel comfortable being compensated for your efforts. Ex. 10% 20% 40% 60% and so on.

4). Your Mindset. You must remember it doesn't matter what the business is, (Affiliate/ MlM business). There will not be a quick get rich business out there. This will be your "Business" so you must treat it as so. Starting a business in the beginning will be difficult do to the fact that you may not have clients and even if you do, you are starting from the ground up and it will take a lot of work. remember this is not a "job and you are not getting paid " hourly" you get paid on your efforts. What you put in, will be what you get out of it and that's a fact.

5). Don't go telling all your friends and family about your new business. From my experience, Once you realize how easy it is to start a home based business online, you will see so many things that you could start promoting. The last thing you want is for your family members to see you starting multiple businesses and quieting them . Don't market to all of your family and friends until you either try the product yourself or you understand the company's system. This way, you will be able to answer objections/questions and possibly have a few recruits.

There will be more post on this site that will help and guide you through this process. By taking these steps into consideration, you will be on your way to finding the person you always wanted to be, while at the same time taking a step to new possibilities.

From one entrepreneur to another,

Stay blessed and strive for success!!!
