   What does it take to create a website that will generate 1,000 unique hits per day (or more)?
   
   If you answer, have you done this? Can you reveal the website address?

      You have already got alot of tips from the community and everything looks valid. The truth is it takes time when you have a new website and it takes a lot of patience.
      You can add all the keywords, create backlinks, optimize for SEO but a new url domain authority starts with a 0, and it takes alot of time to get traffic.
      The only quick fix is if you spend money on online advertising, or purchase a site that already is getting traffic so you don't have to work your way up.

   Hi, as for my personal experience the only thing that can make a website achieve almost 1,000 (not telling that will surely generate 1,000) unique hits per day would be SEO. Have you ever heard the term?

   I have not done it yet but I have had a hub come close, although not consistently.  I think you want to use google keyword to find out what is being searched for with little competition and then you want to create unique content for that area using strong keywords. 
   
   You then want to create quality backlinks and maintain updated content (the search spiders look for these).  The way I understand it the older websites get better page rankings as well. 
   
   I am new to this as well so I am learning here.  I have one site that gets few to no hits a day but it will grow eventually.  I have one site I got rid of because I did not understand that different keywords had different payouts when I created it.
   
   By the way my hub that came close was Young Justice on the animated tv series.  Now it is under 200 a day but sometimes it peaks up higher.  I think keywords and competition have a lot to do with it.

   A few things:
   
   1. High quality content and plenty of it.
   2. High rankings on google for well searched keywords made possible by extensive SEO. Page 1 position 1 gives you the best chance.
   3. Advertising to bring in the traffic, be it using articles, directories, bookmarking, etc.
   
   That would get you started at least.

   To get 1,000 unique hits per day, you need to target a search term that has at least 30,000 unique hits per month [local searches] selected in google adwords keyword tool.
   
   Then you have to compose a site, easy, put up some content, easy easy. The hard part will be building back links. You need more back links then the site ranks number 1 position for the keyword that gets at least 30k per month. Your back links need anchor text for the keyword you are targeting.
   
   Yes i have done this, Sorry i can't show you my site, because you would be able to "take my rankings".

   That is the golden question isn't it?
   
   There are websites that use content generated by other users that do this.  It requires some programming skills, a good server.
   And example of such a site is one that uses my content from YouTube all the time... http://wn.com/
   
   Notice that they have an excellent domain name... only 2 letters.  They probably paid a lot of money for that name.  Single letter names, if you can find one, will cost you upwards of $50,000
   
   Some service providers will charge an arm and leg for bandwidth if you get too much traffic.  My provider says they give unlimited bandwidth... I'm sure there is a clause in the fine print to overcome this if you get too much traffic.
   
   Smart people develop YouTube channels (see below).  Then YouTube pays you to use their bandwidth.
   
   The proven way to get traffic... studies show it is extremely effective, is to... tah dah... PAY for traffic.
   
   Facebook ads are proven to be extremely effective in bringing traffic.
   
   You can't just throw up some crap and expect traffic.  Even Yahoo is having problems and keeps letting more and more staff go and is losing money.
   
   As the internet evolves, what people want is mindless entertainment.  Entertainment for idiots.  It's that simple.
   
   They aren't interested in science or technology... not that there isn't a share for those kinds of sites.  But mindless idiotic entertainment will bring them in droves.
   
   Here is an example of a brand new site using YouTube making a 6 figure income and making mindless idiot videos...

   You need to entertain the idiots of the world. It's that simple.
   
   1,000 unique hits a day is a big number and can take up to 3 years online to attain.  Epic Meal Time achieved it in 30 days.

   I have 1000 hits a day or around that (900-1200) on my HubPages. It took a lot of time and effort. You have to create constant on a consistent schedule and stick to that schedule come hell or high water for months or even years. They want a hard worker. Even the people who make "entertainment for idiots" as that other guy said, didn't get successful overnight. The best advertising is search results and word of mouth. Social media sharing is huge. I'd recommend Facebook and Google for internet ads.
   
   I like Instagram marketing too, because it's super easy if you like to take pictures or do something highly visual with your content. People will click because you use a nice photo (I like this site: https://pixabay.com/, but you should invest in a camera and take your own nice photos too imo.
   
   Writing good headlines is a must. I started out with basic, descriptive article titles, like "Top Ten Romance Anime". But with the help of this site's Headline Analyzer (https://coschedule.com/headline-analyzer), I was able to come up with better headlines, which increased traffic to many 'dead' articles just from having a more interesting headline. This is about an emotional response. Something like "10 Romance Anime That Will Make Your Heart Beat Faster" is better, going with the aforementioned example.
   
   Editing my old content has been my secret weapon as well. You learn as you write. So when you've learned a lot about writing, you can improve your old articles. Usually within a day or so, the Google bots will find out that your article has been updated and so will HP bots and you will get a better score and more SE visibility/higher SE rankings. I don't know if this is just HubPages or not, but it works for me, and fast. Be your own critic. It will pay nicely.
   
   Find out what you do well that gets views, and just do more of it somehow, without being redundant.

    Like it has already been mentioned well optimized articles, back links, time, a site's age, and lots of patience are the things you need to achieve 1,000 unique visit daily.
    
    My blog is barely six months old and I barely get up to 50 visits daily. I'm working on this though so things pick up within a year.
