Is it every man's dream to one day own a strip club?

I know there seems no purpose to this question, but my mother-in-law just asked this question because a guy at work claims that this is every guys dream... so I was wondering what everybody else thinks?

In my younger years I bounced at a few different strip clubs. Guys may think owning one would be cool, but it just depends on how shallow they are.

In my experience, having known many strippers, the majority are to put it lightly insane. Drug ridden wastes to society are the norm. I won't go as far as saying that there should be no strip clubs, but I personally never go to them and wouldn't want to be associated with any.

When you have been around a strip club enough and have any intelligence it will wear on you quickly seeing how the lives of these women and men who frequent them become sadder by the day. Sure there is big money for all involved, but it's dirty money that kills the soul one dollar at a time.

That being said,to each their own. If they want to be shells of people that's their choice.

My husband is a pastor, and I am hoping that is not his dream--they don't seem to go hand-in-hand.  :-)

I agree with Benjamin B.  Even though I grew up in Europe and was a soldier, I had only been the the clubs three times in my life.  All three times were because my friend at the time was a patron and refused to drink anywhere else.  I couldn't for the life of me understand why anyone would want to go and sit with other men and lust after women togethor.  I'm sure it's considered a form of male bonding, but it wasn't for me.

Young men who are young, dumb, and full of c** and men who are shallow dream of having a strip club as a harem or stable of kept women.  In their mind they consider it a badge of honor to employ these women and establish "control" over them.  These men may not have any real control in their own lives, so this in turn causes them to fantisize about owning such an establishment.  Interesting question, thank you for sharing.

I agree with BenjaminB. I mean strip clubs can be fun and all... But I could have as much fun in a normal bar.
Anyway people who start a community in stripclubs and visit it on a weekly or daily bais most likely do have shallow lives as they have strippers for friends, and most strippers are outcasts of sociaty living a f***ed up life...

Never been to one, nor do I wish to own one.  Straight up trash.

I believe so....well maybe every straight guy.  Anyway, I remember when I was enlisting for the army.  The recruiter was interviewing another person who was sitting beside me and asked that person what did he want to do with his life....that person, sitting right beside me said, "own a strip club."

    Are you serious?   Dog.

I have always thought that it would be pretty cool to own one but then I started to read these answers.lol. No...really. Maybe it's just me but I think that a womans body is the most beautiful thing on this planet. And who am I to judge a man or woman ,for that matter, who would want to explore that part of themselves and/or others. Lets get it out there, we all lust after one another. We may not go all out by making out with that hot guy/girl as soon as we realize that we are attracted to eachother, but be honest...We think it. Or at least I do. But I don't think I'll ever walk through a store and say "Hey baby, lets make out" But now I'm getting off of the base subject. And what if the question was "do all women want to own a 'chip and dale' dancing circus" I guess what I'm trying to say is maybe not all men wanna own a strip club but we all wanna big fast truck to drive to them.

Man, people are taking this question very personally ...

No ... it is not every man's dream to own a strip club.  Thats the short answer to your question.

The long answer is that some do.  And normally not for the "keeping a harem of women" and "shallow" reasons that most people are stating in these answers.  The reason why some guys want to own a strip club is because they are a way to make good money.  Most strip clubs are just like any other dive bar ... except there are stages where naked women dance for dollars.  Most dancers actually have to pay a fee to dance, and simply earn whatever the greasy perve... customers are putting down.

I live in Portland Oregon, which has more strip clubs per capita than any other city in the US.  (It's a sorry statistic).  I have been to a few for bachelor parties and 21st birthdays, and, while most are kind of the typical sketchy place ... some of them are actually really fun.  We have one here that specializes in "nude moving art" so there are fire-dancers, choreographed synchronized dancing, striperoke, and the like.  The "strippers" that work at these places normally aren't the dregs of society, and I think the best strip club in town is actually owned by two women.

If people have an unhealthy view of the body, then you'll find the shallow, crack whore ridden strip club.  If people are into liberally expressing themselves and truly appreciating the naked form - then I think there is a healthy place for that in our society.  But that kind of place isn't for the shallow man who wants to "own a strip club".

Dream, no. Fantasy, maybe. Some men don't even think about strip clubs or find them utterly discussing while other men would find power in knowing they are paying women to get naked for their own and other men's pleasure. I actually think more women then men own strip clubs. When it comes down to it, most men can't handle the responsibility of watching over young beautiful women. Girls get rapped and murdered all the time over the career choice of stripping. I certainly wouldn't want someones death to be the cause of my business, would you?

This is one of the funniest questions!
I am sure it is not every man's dream but I'm pretty sure it's my husband's dream and most of his friends.
Seriously, I think most men would say so and it is somewhat of a joke.  Some of the other people's answers show that the dream of owning a strip club versus actually owning a strip club in reality are two very different things.  I'm sure if most guys were pressed to answer if they would actually want to own one would actually say they don't.
