You probably couldn't find much information because the "green jobs" concept, long story short, simply hasn't materialized. I imagine that's where all the bioengineering jobs would come from. I honestly don't know what to tell young people these days who want to take long routes to better themselves. I'm not that much older myself (29), and I'm equally clueless. People say to go into science and engineering, but the only stable science path today seems to be in health care. All the other sciences are too vulnerable to outsourcing, a risk that you honestly can't afford because it takes a long time to become a competent engineer/scientist.
