To effectively manage anyone, begins with the manager themselves, recognizing the skills and abilities of their staff. Taking the time to get to know your employees and finding out what their hobbies are and what interests them is the key to any successful team. Don't treat a teen any different than you would an adult. By identifying their talents and interests you will create an unstoppable group by giving them jobs they will excel at and they will excel if they enjoy what they do. Always begin with what they are comfortable and feel confident in doing.
As adults we tend to forget that children and teens are human, they do have a brain and they do have ideas. They have likes and dislikes as adults do. Let them expand by giving them the chance to be appreciated for who they are and what they can do. You will be surprised how fast they pick up new skills and abilities with the right direction.
