Yes, I do all the time. A number of my hubs are articles I wrote and cross-posted from other sites from when that was still allowed. I try to re-write and revise about one a day during the work week. Other than a delay soon after I switched to the new sub-domain, the duplicate tag goes off almost immediately once it's been made completely unique. Alternatively, if duplicate is on your hub and you don't think it should be, and you can't find where else it is, then contact the help team and they can help you locate the source of the duplication.
And -- just re-read your question and I'm not sure now if I understood you correctly. Are you talking about getting the duplicate content tag removed from your hub, or with giving others notice about removing plagiarized content?
