Where do you work and if you could do anything to make it better what would it be?
I work in retail, I'll with-hold the name exactly but it's a home improvement store. I think one of the biggest things it could use for improvement is for some of the corporate big wigs who make decisions that sound good on paper but don't transition into the actual work place, to come to the stores and try it themselves. Maybe they'd think twice about having a team of 2 people do a department reset in the span of an hour...
I work for The United States Marine Corps. I think things would be better if i could hurry up and get promoted but its always a waiting game here.
I work at an office. Mostly, I do a lot of customer service and many new job duties have been added to my already long list of job duties. Things would be much better for me if I could be promoted out of the position. I've been working there 3 years and was told there were many opportunities for advancement. That has not been the case. I am frustrated because I basically took a step down to take the position since I was told about these advancement opportunities. I have a great deal of office experience and education, and I've waited long enough for them. I am looking for a new job and taking my skills somewhere else.
I work in retail. I think things would be better like flagostomos said that the corporate people that make the decisions come out and try them first at a store. How they run things and how they try to make things better for the customers do not work well. They recently cut down our hours, so they could hire more bodies to help have more people on the floor for the customers. We have more people working for the store, but they still schedule us to usually only have one person in each department. Does not help anyone and hurts the workers that have been there before the change of hours.
I teach high school English in a public school in New York. I'd be able to perform my job better if the state and federal government stopped cutting funding for education. We'll soon have a society of morons because barely anyone at the government level seems to hold education in a high regard.
I work in a chemical plant as a bolt up/ crane operater/ forklift operater and all other kinds of stuff. I think I would have to say that I'd work better hours. Like from 6am to 2:30pm because it has been in the 100s outside the plant and inside it feels like at least 110. gotta love the pay though.
I work security in the hospitality industry. And I don't think there's anything that I would like to change. I mean, they pay me to walk around for a living. I've had many difficult jobs in the past. I wouldn't trade this one for the world.
I work from home and the one thing I would do to make it better is have an office chair made to my specifications. Currently, I spend an average of 8 hours in a reasonably good chair and I still get aches and pains from being in the same position for a long period of time. Even with regular breaks and stretching, I'm still feeling a little worse for wear at the end of each working day. I take my hat off to all administration staff who have to use dodgey furniture.
i own a small renovation company that i truly enjoy being part of. if i could change anything about it, i would have enough money that i could fix low-income peoples homes for free.
I am working as an assistant professor in management institution and if I could do something for them it would be to given them the real life experience of some great people like Bill Gates, Mr. Dhoni, Ambanis, Mrs. F.W Rowling etc.
