I think for most people once they enter the working age they still don't really have a clear idea of what they are suited for.
You decide that perhaps you should try that or that, not exactly knowing if you are heading the right direction.
A need of having a job is mainly to provide for the essential things in life.
It can take a long time to discover what one is truly meant for.
Many people don't even ask that question. They just continue with the job they may not even like just to pay for all necessary they need.
Self-realization of our inner values and understanding what we are good at, where we would find our personal fulfilment is an important process as it means it could lead to something much more satisfying.
A strong will and determination is needed to be able to move towards such goals.
For example, myself I have worked for the same company for 12 years, I actually enjoy what I do, however I have discovered that my abilities to write could lead me towards something new, even more enjoyable.
Therefore I have made that decision to do something about it.
I have made my plans and set my goals, and I know it's a question of time when I will be able to live by my own terms, although I am aware it will require a lot of work and perseverance from my side.
