Possible, yes, probably, not so much. Then define high paying job. Working as a stripper at a night club may pay pretty good I'm told (no one would ever pay me!) I'm not sure you'd want the job. And all things are relative. At a poultry processing plant the guys in a dark room that pick up the live chickens and hang them upside down in the shackles getting dust and poo in their face all day long are the highest paid line workers (you can see why) and probably have little or no education.
If you are saying can you get a high paying job like in the old days where you hear about the head of a company like GE or something coming up through the mail room, much less likely today with all the highly qualified people vying for jobs. One legit area that just about anyone can find a job that has the greatest potential - straight commission sales. Not because it is easy, a great commission salesperson is a highly talented and very hard working person. But from real estate to insurance to medical appliances, and used/new cars, straight commission sales people are capable of very large incomes.
