Is spending a day at home in your pyjamas good for your mental health?

Sure why not. A bit of relaxation time. I think it helps now and then but not a constant thing. I wouldn't recommend it for more than one or two days. In the end it can end up just leading to lack of confidence, laziness and poor health (especially with the inactivity and junk food that usually goes with it).

I agree with Deviousone that once in awhile it's good to be able to just relax but not if it becomes the norm.  I know that tends to happen to me when my depression kicks in so I try to be conscious of this and push myself to get up and go.

Honestly, I think it's more important to ask a different question - why do you want to stay at home in your pyjamas in the first place? If you're feeling under the weather with flu, or something, then obviously relaxing will help you recover. If we're talking about mental health, though, I'm not sure what you wear has so much of an impact as why you want to wear it, if you see what I mean. It might be a symptom, and not a cause.

Every once in a while i love to stay home in my pj's, hide under a big blanket and watch my favourite movies. It's just a great way to unwind and forget the world. However if i had to do that day in day out i would go insane. People need people, we need company and something to make us get up and go otherwise life is pointless. So yeah for one day it does you good for more than that its a downwords slope.
