When one thinks about campaigns, one usually is referring to political campaigns. Campaigns can be ugly, hateful and heartless kinds of undertakings. Republicans and Democrats campaigning against each other, hating, lying, fighting, is the best examples of campaigns at their best.
Consider the war between the North and the South, The American Civil War, a very ugly, hateful campaign.
In a sense, all wars involve campaigns.
My answer is not the best answer, but it causes one to think about campaigns in a broader, deeper way. I like to see people thinking deeply about important questions like this one. Regards, Dr. Haddox
