Most of the CEOs in US are well paid.  If you have accountancy degree, you could become a CEO much more easier.

Read this article, General Motor's CEO gets $23 million estimated pension.

In UK, footballers are making more money than CEOs.

A CEO might be a high paying position, however it's hard to acquire a job like that in todays economy.

Become a salesperson and set your earnings level, the ceiling is the limit, based on your efforts and ability.

As far as obtainable jobs, I would say lawyers and doctors(the medical field), and accountants maybe.

Being a politician.  The base pay is not too great, but usually more than average.  But, the big money is in getting bribes -- excuse me, political contributions.

BTW, another reason is that since medical care is so expensive, they get great medical benefits.  Much better than what most people get under the present system, what most people will get under OBAMA'S proposed socialized system.  Do you think YOUR congressman or senator is going to have to wait for months or years for THEIR surgeries or treatments, as do those in Canada or Britain?

Of course, being celebrities and sports figures (basketball players, footballers, and golfers) will pay you the most.
