Well depending on the severity of what he/she did I would say that most bosses do use employees for their own needs and that is part of working for someone else, unfortunately.
I assume, however, that this particular incident you are refering too was much more than the average "use" of an employee. In that case I recommend 2 things. Search for a new job and get one - nothing is more frustrating to someone you don't like than success. If a new job is not an option, talk to him, or his/her manager and let them know how you feel. Communication is always the key to better relationships - whether it be with your boss or your bosses boss
