Is it adviseable to make your business facebook page your regular facebook page?

When working on my business page meant to promote my children's ebook, the following question was at the bottom of the editing page: "Do you want to make this your FB page?" I noticed that the artist who illustrated my ebook has a FB page that seems to be her business page as well and it's quite lovely. I think it would give family and friends a better idea of my work, but I'm just wondering if there is a downside to this?

aah! the sifting - good thought. You're right, I can still make my FB personal page look like my Bus Page with those pictures on my timeline if I wanted. Now I'm trying to find a good name. Don't think I have to use company's name

Thanks so much. Opinion seems to be similar here. I keep hoping family and friends will promote me, but FB for friends is just about that - not relevant to my business, I'm learning.

never thought of the separate author page. I've been racking my brain how to combine my software company with my authoring with my da-da-dee-da-ing. Thanks for your input! Cheers

Yep, localseo... I have a big problem with that - always have - everyone knows everything about me! Maybe that's why I don't sell much (tee hee) Thanks for your response!
