However, the person you speak with may not be willing to confirm more than the person's dates of employment. If you are in a position to pull a credit report (if you are a landlord, for example), the report will also list any employers reported for that person. The issue is that credit reports may contain old or inaccurate information, so you may not be able to find out the person's current employer. A background check is another option. You can also try searching databases (such as your state's probation database, if you have one) to see if you can find the information.
