How much is Presentation skill importance for any employee or entrepreneur?
Please let me know your opinions for the question which may be helpful to all of us.
Presentations skills are extremely important for both the employee in a work environment to "sell" your ideas. For an entrepreneur it's critical - as we have all heard the "what's your elevator pitch?" question the ability to get your ideas across succinctly and clearly could mean you either get the project thru or your new startup that important 15mins. with a VC or not. So hone your presentations and take every opportunity to practice getting better at it!
I always believe in refining and rehearsing before presenting it in front of the actual audience. However everyone have one or the other flaw which, I believe, can be removed via such discussion with right people.

Imperetive. If you are not confident in making your presentation to a person or a business, then pay a professional to do it for you, your presentation can make or break you. This way you are still available for questions later.
I do speak from years of experience here, so please note this extremely important point. Always be sure that the person you are speaking to is not the DI that is the decision influencer. You must speak and present to the DM that is the decision maker. There's nothing worse when after the presentation is given the person says something like ''Thank you very much, your presentation and ideas are very interesting, I will pass them on to Mr. xxxxx '' That's it, your main chance has gone, you should have made sure of the standing of the other person.
I hope this help's you and anyone else in this situation.
Graham.
Intriguing!! I appreciate your sharing. This differentiation between DI and DM can be one of the crucial aspects to be considered while preparing.
