It is not that Chinese people are "more successful" than other people in business. It is not a matter of race, it is a matter of ethnics and how someone is raised. Chinese children are raised with very strict rules pushing them towards school. The stereotype that we see portrayed towards Chinese parents and their children -forcing them to stay in their room until they have A's in every class - is a very true stereotype. Behind every smart Chinese child you will find a forceful parent that is constantly pushing them towards their studies. This, of course, carries over into their life and is what helps make them so successful in the business world.

They are just good in business. They know their cash flow well - how much money is going out, how much money is coming in. They think of ways to spend less, and earn more, as simple as that.

P/S, not many Chinese lock their children in their room until they get As. Many of those straight As students are self-driven, with some guidance from parents. If they are pushed too hard, they will not perform as well.

I believe it is primarily because of their culture. The Chinese culture is very much organized and holds strict disciplines, guidelines and beliefs. This is probably why the Chinese military is so effective, consider that their military would probably outnumber our American military by 1000 to 1, to strictly organize and command such a large military requires great discipline. From what I've learned, Chinese leadership controls the masses with a very heavy hand indeed, which is also the likely reason why China is one of the world's leaders in mass manufacturing.
