What do you do if a hot office mate is hitting on you but you are already married?

It's very tempting, I know.  I was the subject of the desires of one of those "hot" office mates 22 years ago.  I resisted her overtures for over a year.  I finally gave in to her.  The end result, I lost the best wife any man could have ever asked for in his lifetime.  I lost the respect of two pre-teen daughters.  I lost a solid foundation to spend the rest of my life with a woman who would have done anything for me.  Eventually, we did get caught as everyone does who travels down this path.  That "hot" office mate also eventually moved on past me.  I was left alone.  And I deserved it.  Don't do it.  You'll regret it forever.

Your wisdom is noted.  The question popped up in a meeting on a company dating policy meeting.  It was a nice to question to share here.  And I'm happy with what I read.

I suppose the reason you mentioned the co-worker was "hot" is because a part of you is flattered and welcomes the attention.
My advice has always been don't date co-workers. This would apply regardless of one's marital status but especially so for someone who is married. I would also question the motives of someone who clearly (knows you are married) but continues to "hit on you".
Do they want you for them self? or "Are they simply looking for a fling? Either way they could care less about what happens in the aftermath.

Good point.  We're actually trying to formulate a policy on office dating.  it's a very grey area and this question popped up.

Stay away ... Be firm and tell him you are not interested .. It is not worth it to get involved as you could lose everything over getting involved .

There's so much flirting going around and it easy to see.  What's an Admin got to do in this situation?

If only this would be true in my situation.  I'd be honestly flattered. But, since I am married, my commitment is to my wife.

Ummm...... If your already married I wouldn't think there really is a question of what to do, tell the hot office mate that your happily married & not interested.

What if you are interested...then that becomes a problem.  Ha ha.
