If you could go back in time or start over, would you train for a different career?

Do you wish you had trained for a different career or would you like to try a different career from your present one? Why or why not?

No, I love the degree that I chose to pursue: business management. It teaches you how to work with people and be a leader.

No, because I love being an artist. However, I would have taken a few business and marketing classes, to make me better at the business of being an artist.

I have mixed emotions about this one. I've really enjoyed many parts of being a game designer and author, but part of me would have really liked to have been a doctor.

Yes, I have a degree in English, which is nice to have, but it does not pay my bills.  I would prefer to have some type of computer technology degree and a minor in English.  I would still write online for fun and some extra cash, but my computer skills would get me a great paying day job.

Yes. Writing is my passion, but technically I could have still done it even with a different degree. Graphic design had been my first choice, but after a college rejected my art portfolio I switched to writing. I think it helped refine my skills, but it's hard to justify when debt is staring you in the face. Maybe one day I'll hit it big as an author, but it doesn't stop the nagging sensation that I would have been better off going the graphic design route.

I'm sorry you're experiencing the "What if?" sensation. I experience it sometimes, too.

Now I am retired and there is no question of pursuing a different career at this juncture. But I was wishing for a government auditor post whereas I had to settle with a small accountant post all through my life. My earnings were never enough to feed my family. I feel very sad whenever I think of that even though I am better off now with my son.

No. After a short hard spell as a roustabout on oil rigs in 1968 I 'fell' into zoo work. I am still working zoos and love it. never regretted it. If I could not I would have trained as a farrier.

No, because I love my current job which is of a content writer. I am content with my life and wants no change.
