Are Women treated equally in the workplace?
If you are just doing your job then the B-word people are searching for is boss. You should tell them that. People will call you the other B-word behind your back anyway, but so what? Be the boss and make sure the work gets done. If someone has a problem doing their work under you, then there are plenty of people looking for work out there who would love to have a female boss.
The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act wasn't signed into law until 2009! Now finally if a woman does equal work she is entitled to the same pay as a man under the law. My point here is that things change way too slowly but they are getting better.
