Are Women treated equally in the workplace?
Being a supervisor at work you may have to tell people what to do every now and then. How do you differentiate between being the B word and just doing your job?
Women have only really been in The Workplace for 45 years (wow, time flies!). Over the course of 10,000 years, male bosses have been able to develop their own method of communicating among their employees that does not offend one another too much. Sadly, few people tell women this and they are labeled because they don't know how men communicate with one another.
If you are just doing your job then the B-word people are searching for is boss. You should tell them that. People will call you the other B-word behind your back anyway, but so what? Be the boss and make sure the work gets done. If someone has a problem doing their work under you, then there are plenty of people looking for work out there who would love to have a female boss.
The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act wasn't signed into law until 2009! Now finally if a woman does equal work she is entitled to the same pay as a man under the law. My point here is that things change way too slowly but they are getting better. Stay strong SilentMagenta and the rest of the ladies who might read this!
My belief is that women have made greats strides in the workplace , but I also believe that there is still differences in the amount of money a woman gets paid vs the pay that a man would get paid for the same job. I remember that when I worked in the healthcare industry we were under mandate never to discuss our salaries under penalty of termination. We all knew why that was, but keeping the paycheck coming was more important. Though women are making inroads in pay equality, I still think there is a long way to go

Is it possible that one can love two girls equally?I have two girlfriends. Is it possible that I love them equally...at least I think so. What should I do? I know that sooner or later I will have to let go one of them. But how would I decide which one, if at all I decide to let one of them go?
