Transcribing can pay pretty well depending on who you work for. It's pretty easy considering all you do is type words as you hear them. There are some rules you have to follow which will also vary depending on who you work for. There are a lot of legitimate companies that will hire online transcriptionists but they'll also probably want you to have some kind of certificate of transcribing training and/or transcription experience. There are also sites you can sign up for (like Transcribeme and Rev) that will pay you a certain amount per audio hour that you transcribe. Most sites will require you to pass a test before they'll let you join. I've never actually tried an online transcribing job before but I have heard some success stories.
