Best Office Chair Pads - Seat Cushions

Updated on January 25, 2013

Best Office Chair Pads

Unfortunately, the cushions in office chairs often get compressed or hard over time. But that doesn't mean you have to buy a new office chair! Instead, you could buy a replacement pad or cushion made out of memory foam, gel, or other comfy material. It should give you the comfort back and make your office chair fun to sit in again!

Here are the best office chair pads for the bottom, back, and arm rests. I hope this makes your computer time comfortable once again!

"Forever Comfy" Gel Seat Cushion - As Seen on TV - I actually bought this before seeing the TV commercial!

I bought this cushion for my husband prior to it being on TV (in fact, I think it wasn't even called "forever comfy" back then)... I was really searching for a comfortable seat cushion that would last and this one had lots of positive reviews.

It turns out to be one "as seen on TV" product that actually is pretty high quality and long lasting. Yes, it will compress over time, but the gel inside of it stops it from collapsing totally. So, yes, it does work. It won't maintain its original shape but the comfort will last. My husband uses it on his computer chair, and sits on it for many hours everyday, and has no more complaints about a sore bottom!

Kensington 82024 Memory Foam Seat Rest

This is made out of genuine memory foam and is designed to take on the shape of your behind!

Although not everyone loves it, it is genuinely liked by many customers. People who like it say that it makes their office or computer chair more comfortable, and in some cases relieves back pain. Unlike the "seen on TV" seat cusions that are made for cars, this seat cushion doesn't slope! It will raise you up a little higher and hopefully add some padding.

Nice lens! My office provides the chairs, but in less than a year I've already compressed the cushion and can already feel the hard plastic chair bottom. I will look into a cushion! I can knit and sew, so I'll probably sew a nice cover for it, too.
