Define career vs job...

Updated on February 4, 2013

A career is a lifelong occupation with goals while earning an income. Being able to network for growth opportunities are unlimited.

You will continue to grow and learn with your career as you are presented with networking opportunities. There is preparation that goes along with choosing a career where training and education are necessary. Look at it as one's occupational history that is strategically built on experiences which will enhance your skills knowledge.

A job is an activity where one goes to earn money. There is limited or no networking for little or no growth opportunities.

Each job provides income to meet your financial needs. It becomes less satisfying over time especially if your true self is not being utilized. Having a list of duties and responsibilities that you are paid for by your employer for the duration of your employment.
