Creating your own Storefront on Zazzle

Updated on May 7, 2016

Creating your Storefront.

I will do my best to have you a zazzle pro before this lens is over, I am hoping I can make this lens interesting and helpful for everyone. I have been into Zazzle for about 4-5 years now and the editor has been getting easier and more self explanatory through the years. Setting up your store front isn't very hard to do once you log in and create an account with Zazzle you can set up as many stores as you would like. From the home page select your name on the drop-down menu select account. This will bring you to the login for your account if your not logged in.

Once you log in it will bring you to your accounts page here you can do everything. Check on your earnings history, create a new store or even manage your stores.

So if your ready to start creating your own Storefront on Zazzle let's get started eh?

The Accounts Menu - The Accounts Menu on your Zazzle Account.

Now that you are in your Zazzle account you can do a lot here. From adding more stores to managing your stores I'll try and help you get started working on your store and getting it running.

If this is your first store lets take a couple deep breaths and relax a little bit because this isn't going to be too hard. Actually I found it to be quite easy once you get hang of it.

The Store Option for Zazzle Accounts - The Zazzle Store Accounts Menu

Store accounts menu
Store accounts menu

By clicking the store option on the horizontal menu on the accounts page you will arrive here. Now this page will list out all the stores you currently have operating at the time. I am assuming you don't have any stores set up yet so let's get started.

Click the "Open New Store" button.

Naming your Zazzle Storefront - Your Zazzle Storefront Name

naming your storefront
naming your storefront

Now here is the important part think really hard what kind of items you plan on selling. Me I decided to make a posters storefront hence the name papasposters. You want to pick a name that has to do with what you are selling for example I have 3 other stores named papasaprons for all of my aprons I made, and papastees for all of my t-shirt designs so on and so forth.

Once you have created the name of your store the security wants you to enter the line of code just below it as in the example image.

Now Click the "Create Store" Button.

You've thought about your store

You have had a little time to think, now when you have a Storefront what kind of items will you be selling?

What Items interest you on Zazzle? What would you create and sell?

The Managing your Storefront Screen - Managing Your Zazzle Storefront

Manage your store

If you will take notice there are actually two menus on this screen, a vertical menu and a horizontal menu. The vertical menu allows you to make changes on your storefront and change options. The button that says "Current Store" always make sure the store you are wanting to change is selected before you make any changes.

Now From this page most of the other options are self explanatory but we'll go through each one at a time.

Manage the Storefront Settings - Your Zazzle Storefront Settings

managment settings

OK on this page next to the Storefront name you can make this store a private one by invite only. Which only you and a select few who have been invited can see.

Next enter a nice description of your store of what you sell and what the store represents. The stores goals or whatever you feel your customers will be interested in knowing.

The tags option usually I just leave this with the store name Google will find it better.

Next you can enable the Analitics from Google just enter your Analitics ID and that's good to go.

Your next option if you are using Statscounter.com you can select this option and fill in your information to get that working as well.

Be sure to save your changes for them to take effect before moving on to the next section.

Manage Content Section - Your Zazzle Manage Content Section

Managing Content
Managing Content

Most of what's on this section is self explanatory but here's a quick rundown of your options here.

In the "Elements to include in my store" area these options I choose to have them all checked except the "Send message Link" you may want to use it but selecting this allows your customers to contact you. You can also choose to have your navigation menu on the right or the left side of the screen I choose the left side.

The "Set up Store Homepage" section allows you to display whatever items you wish everyone to see when they first come to your store. I selected three items here the "Show Products", the "Top Picks Widget", and the "Comment Wall".

The "Change Store Display options" Check show store categories and make sure it says scrollable. The Default Product Sort order set to popular. The product grid display check both options "Show prices in products grid", and "Show xx styles link"

The "Number of products per row" I selected 4 and this option looks very nice.

Be sure to save your changes for them to take effect before moving on to the next section.
