Hubpages is easily customized via the "capsules." Capsules are the blocks of material that you can add to your hub. Images can be added easily through image capsules, direct links, or simply using the "upload image" icon. Besides text and images, you can add YouTube Videos, feature eBay items in a capsule, Amazon items, create lists, store items, interactive polls and much more. It's a great commodity for sellers.
Use these capsules to make your hub more interesting and attractive to visitors, and direct them to your store by enticing them with your items, along with snippets of testimonials (positive feedback) from buyers, your feedback score, and instilling trust.

Outside of Hubpages, you can generate traffic to your lens through email, external website links, posting in forums off Hubpages, posting on your Facebook page, or including a URL on your business card. Be sure to tag your hub correctly with short keywords and phrases relevant to the topic.
Link to your own relevant hubs if you've published them. Be sure to add tags to your hub as well. Pick tags that users might use to search for a lens like yours. Keep them broad for best results.
Now that you've set up your first hub...start writing some more! And share what you've written in the eBay forums, your Facebook page, or through email, including a link. Leave links in every hub to some of your other hubs. From time to time, updating your hub will provide fresh new content can also generate interest from search engines.
One more tip on increasing traffic to your hub is to enable comments. This will open a direct line of communication with buyers, and offer feedback from guests. The comments feature will allow other hubbers or visitors to leave a brief comment, and your bio picture will appear next to your comment and ID. It's a good way to network within the Hubpages community, and is reassuring to search engine visitors that you aren't some fly by night, untrustworthy seller.

After setting up a few hubs, check your eBay Omniture free traffic reports in the manage my store section. Click on the "referring sites" link to generate a report of the sites that have lead users to your eBay store. Hubpages should show up somewhere on your report, and the number of click throughs to your store will be listed next to it. This will show you the results of your work, which hubs are generating the most traffic, and how you can tweek your lenses and tags to attact more attention.
You should also check the stats of your individual hubs through your Hubpages feed. Enable Google Analytics to get even more depth information. Also, enable Google Analytics tracking on your Ebay store. This will tell you how many people have visited your hubs (and your store), and where the traffic is coming from. It will also tell you how many people have clicked out of your hubs to other sites. This will provide you with the information you need to track the progress of your hubs, marketing efforts, what you'll need to improve, what's worth the time, what people like, and what they dislike.

A Few Rules to Follow When Making Your Promotional Hub

Hubpages can send some modest search engine traffic and increase your Ebay store sales, but there is a good amount of work involved. Here are some basic guidelines to follow when creating your hub:
-Choose keywords for your hub URL and keep it short if possible.
- Write an introduction that's both captivating to buyers and has some of your most profitable keywords, at least a few sentences. Be sure it makes sense and isn't a bunch of nonsense. It needs to be real, valuable content.
- Upload a picture whenever possible. Use pictures of your own Ebay items.
- Personalize your bio and add a picture.
- Link to your other hubs.
- Fill out all of the capsule titles.
- Research keywords. Check your Google Analytics account, use Google Suggest, or just your intuition. Include those keywords in your hub once or twice.
- Make your hub at least 1000 words or so. Longer content tends to rank better in search engines.
- Make your hub specific to one theme. If you sell a variety of items, make a hub for each of the groups of products that you sell. For example, if you sell antique glasswear, create a hub for each specific type of glasswear, create guides, and link them all together.
- Include Ebay capsules showcasing your store items throughout the hub. You can enter your own store ID.
- Link to your Ebay store in the hub. You will be limited to TWO links as of writing this page.
- Share your hub on Facebook. Consider creating a Facebook page dedicated to all of this new content, and then market that as well.
- Fill out Hubpages tags to gain traffic within Hubpages, and to be featured on other hubs.
