I think Blogger is a good place to start. It's so easy to use and to connect with others. If you are on Blogger, you can connect to many other related blogs.
i use wordpress and I think is great but i also hear blogger is good.
The best format is the one that works best for you. To some extent it will be personal preference. Lots of people for instance like Wordpress, and I agree it is a capable platform - I just don't like using it.
I think Blogger is a little bit simpler to use than Wordpress. I haven't ever tried Typepad. I kind of like Weebly as well. You can do quite a bit with Weebly and they seem to always be trying to improve their service. It is a bit more of a learning curve, though, in my opinion.
If you want to pay a little for it, Squarespace is an excellent blog platform.
I agree blogger is easy. Wordpress is good if you are savvy with design... but... why not just make your blogs into hubs and make $$$

Which is the best platform for monetizing a free blog? Blogger? Wordpress? Others?I am thinking about serializing my novel from NaNoWriMO and giving it it's own blog. Then I'd like to earn some pennies for my effort. What's the latest on monetizing blog platforms?

What blogging platform do you use?I use Wordpress and Blogger but am tired of Blogger and Wordpress.com does't allow ads or Amazon capsules (html). I can use Wix or Weebly but would like some more options.
