What do you think of recruitment agendies/consultants who help you find a job?
I think they will help if you are a good fit for the employer. They make money and you do too with a new job.
I think that most of them are just looking for an easy fit. Most of them are a waste of time. If you are in that kind of demand, then you will not need a middle man to find a job. If you are not in demand, then the recruiter is not going to be able to help you. I don't even talk to them anymore.
I feel they are just like any other business establishments - win win situation for both parties.
It depends on the kind of agency you are tying up with. Some of them have direct relationship with big organizations and they are really helpful. Especially those who are operating on EP placements.
There are some who even charge money for registration from candidates. In most cases they are fraud. Candidates are never supposed to pay anything to recruitment agencies. It's the hiring organizations who pay the recruitment agencies.
