Which job is more difficult, being a homemaker or being a professional?

Those who have experienced both the jobs, are in the best position to answer this. As for me, I have done both the jobs together.

I think that depends on the age of your children. If the kids are in school that gives you more time to watch over the home.

I never looked at being a homemaker as a job as I enjoyed being home with my girls .I went out to work as well at times .
Being a professional would have to be harder as you have to please a lot of people .
At home you can have the place how you like it & make it enjoyable .

      Hi!
Thanks for the comment. I agree with you. I too have enjoyed each bit my role as a wife, a mother and a home manager, if you may call it.

I loved being home but it was hard and work at times. I think it would depend on the kids ages. If they are toddlers - heave help you!!  That is 24/7 work, they are up at night, cry, yell, act out a times.  It can be so tiring.

For me working (when I worked before kids) was easier - not the work but I had certain things I had to accomplish, loans, apps, reports etc.  So the tasks were well-defined for me and I would wade through them then go home at 6pm.  I would unwind on the 30 minute drive home and relax once I got home.

I know it isn't the same for everyone but working outside the home is easier for me.

      Hi duffsmom!
You are right, it is not the same for everyone and every age. In spite of being busy at home, you are answerable to yourself, whereas being a professional means, meeting targets and be answerable to your boss. But then, you get paid too.
