How To Stop Chronic Laziness
Stop Being Lazy
This lens will share different tips that can help you to stop being lazy.
No matter how long you've struggled with overcoming your laziness, it can be done. One step at a time, you'll get there. Maybe at first, these steps will be small and timid, but the more steps you make, the bigger they'll become!
And the sooner you will find out how to stop chronic laziness forever.
How To Stop Chronic Laziness
As you probably already know - overcoming laziness is not an easy thing to do. Laziness feels so comfortable and nice while you do it. Of course, you already realized that it's not the best habit to get what you want, grow as a person and live the life that you could live.
One way to stop chronic laziness is with the help of hypnosis. I have seen a lot of people overcome their laziness through hypnosis, and I believe that the reason why it is so effective is because it basically works around the mind's own tricks.
See, when you are lazy, your challenge is that you often have very elaborate mental strategies that keep you from doing stuff and prevent you from getting the motivation you need to get things done.
You can recondition your mind with the help of affirmations and visualization - but it takes a lot of mental practice and repetition for it to work. So as a lazy person, you're probably going to have a hard time coming up with the motivation to regularly repeat your affirmations and visualize your new self.
But simply listening to a short hypnosis recording takes very little motivation. Simply put the headphones on and press play - you can do it before you go to sleep.
Stopping Chronic Laziness - Robotic Video Advice
Here is a video where some "robot cyber dude" talks about overcoming chronic laziness. I don't think robots can be lazy, but anyway, what he says in the video is actually worth listening to :-)
Takes 5 minutes
All you need to do this exercise against laziness is 5 minutes, a pen and a piece of paper.
And then write down:
"This is how my life could change if I stopped being lazy:
So for example, it could be:
- I would be healthier and more attractive because I would exercise regularly and eat better.
- I'd be more popular with other people
- I would find a great partner who loves me
- I would be more confident
- I'd make more money because I'd get a promotion
- I'd get better grades in school
- I'd become a better musician because I'd practice more rigorously
- my place would look neater because I'd take better care of it
And so on. You could probably write a lot more than 3 things, but just write down three things, that's enough.
And then close your eyes and imagine your life being like that. Visualize what you would see if you'd already overcome your laziness, feel what it would feel like, listen to what others would say to you. And just indulge yourself in that mental simulation for a while where you really enjoy the benefits of being proactive, instead of lazy. This will help you to become motivated to overcome being lazy :-)
Funny Laziness Cartoon
The best part about being as lazy as I am is that when I finally accomplish a task it is appreciated rather than taken for granted. - now that's also a perspective ;-)
Lazy Song by Bruno Mars
Not sure if this song helps you to stop being lazy, but it sure helps you to stop feeling guilty about being lazy ;-)
If you are really serious about getting over your laziness, then write it down here. Can be a short statement like "I'll stop being lazy" or a looong pamphlet if that's what you want.
Sounds silly? Yeah, but psychology has shown that simply writing a goal down makes it so much more likely that we'll achieve it.
So come on, it only takes a minute, will ya?
