Making Money By Writing Articles

Updated on June 22, 2013

Blog, Write, and Do Everything Else!

I am a lensmaster on Squidoo with a couple of blogs on Wordpress including the Yugioh Philosophy Blog that gets over 100 visitors a day. I have made a lot of money online, and I want to share with you how I make money by blogging. I have always loved to share advice, and I want to show you what makes me money.

Amazon Associate

Buy from them or not, nearly everyone knows what Amazon is. However, not everyone knows what an Amazon Associate is. Amazon Associates make money online by promoting Amazon links. When someone buys a product through the associate link, that associate gets a payment. Before my first month as an Amazon Associate, I got 17 orders, and I got over $2 in commission (the ordered items were Yugioh Cards, and they don't go for a high price). I added these links all over my blog and Facebook Page, and this is one of the ways that I make money online blogging and writing on Squidoo.

Original Content

Original Content is the most important way to make money online. You'll get visitors who come back to your blog, and then they might find a product that they like.

There are many places that offer advertisements like Google Adsense and Chitika. I haven't been able to put these ads on my Wordpress blogs, but Google Adsense ads are all over my Squidoo lenses. I tend to make about $100 a month through the adsense (basically, the squidoo tiers system), and I have been happy with the results. Putting ads based on your blog's topic will always lead to more clicks and a higher profit.

Great lens. Wordpress now has an ad program much like AdSense. You have to buy a domain name to be eligible to apply for program.

Amazon Associate program can be a big source of making money, just because everyone knows it. I have just recently started using them and it seems to have a lot of potential
