How to Work At Home - Internet Marketing

Updated on December 31, 2014

Online Marketing Is Taking Over

Do you wonder why the retail malls are running out of people? Why they are looking so empty and shops are having to close down? Take another look at your local mall and what hits you in the face?

Is it:

The size?

The lack of parking space?

The great distances between parking and shops?

Rents paid for premises?

The hours put in by owners and staff?

The tired look of people trudging around from shop to shop?

So where have all the people gone?

They have gone to Internet Shopping and so should you if you market anything at all. This lens is designed to help you get your business online.

The New Business Format

Get into the swing now

The big thing today is Internet marketing and companies of all types and sizes are rushing to get in and increase their sales. There is so much happening in the online shopping saga that new technology is highly focused and allows various kinds of innovations for making a sale. Things are cheaper online, the service is generally very good, and products are fresh. All for a very good reason.

The days of employing staff, paying wages, training them (as in the sales meeting in photo), insuring them and making sure they stay loyal to you are fast disappearing. People are now able to employ themselves while selling your goods.

These guys have replaced the traveling salesman with websites, blogs, lenses or other to promote your products. They work from home, pay their own expenses, choose which Company they want to represent and they are very loyal if the right thing is done by them. They send customers to your site and the sale is made automatically online, You don't even have to talk to a customer or do anything except deliver the products.

That means too that you have little advertising expenses and don't have to spend time interviewing potential staff. By signing up with good agents to set up your affiliate marketing scheme you can in business within hours. Sales will happen almost immediately, if your product is good.

Of course you must make sure that you do the right thing to them and the people they bring to you. That means engaging in good customer service on your part as this will go a long way to future sales. The affiliate gets a percentage of the sales price and this is arranged beforehand. Companies which handle this kind of thing are now rather big and have thousands of affiliates ready to take on new merchants.

if you run a successful business you need the right forms. These include cheques, invoices, order forms, contracts, and so on. There is one service that offers you the best of all these things, including business services, promotional material and print marketing. Check it out by clicking the banner on the left - right now.

Millions of People Now Shop Online - From anywhere in the world

Goods can be bought internationally and delivered to your door through the post or courier so why would you want to wear yourself out trasping to a mall. Today I went shopping at my local mall for goods for the pantry and fridge. I also shopped for the garden as it is spring here and my vege patch is well under way. By the time I got home, after about 3 hours, my feet ached, my body was exhausted and I had to lug all the parcels into the house from the car. If only I could do it better it would save me time, effort and this result.

Do you shop online for most of your goods?

Increased Profits Helps With Competition

You can have specials running repeatedly

One of the first things that happens when merchants market through affiliates who sell online is that their profits soar. This allows them to offer specials and to beat the competition. It also helps them maintain better quality products and offer bargains on a regular basis.

The benefits of joining an affiliate Company to market goods are almost too many to list and you will get an idea of what they are as soon as you commence. It does not matter what you sell or produce because there is always a market for it. Many affiliates look for things that are unique and not oversold so they can set up a niche market.

This has benefits both ways. First you get affiliates who are dedicated to your product rather than several products. They put more effort into producing results, especially if the commission is worthwhile. You get to know how many sales to expect from them as the time goes on. Most of all this happens with little or no overheads for you.

What I would have given when running my retail business to have this scenario:-

No advertising costsNo overheadsNo staff required except to handle packing and shipping of goodsNo insurance or other costsNo need for rented premisesNo running back and forth to the businessNot manning a shop for hours on endAutomated salesTo be a more relaxed personMore time to spend with family or on a hobby

There are so many other advantages to be enjoyed as this is just the start.

Working online only works if you have visitors to your site. This Company has been online for as long as I have and it is reliable and backs its claims with watertight guarantees. If you are looking for business then try this out. What have you got to lose. All advertising costs money but what could be better than an automatic campaign that you set and forget?

Running a Retail Business Is Hard Work

The hours are almost unending

It was the most time consuming thing I ever did. Traisping around to factories to select product, waiting for goods to be delivered then having to unpack, sort, price and then display them was not fun. Being stuck inside a shop all day waiting for customers, checking accounts, cleaning and packing was tiring and then dealing face to face with customers had its drawbacks. While many were pleasant and friendly there were those who could never be pleased with any thing and if they were having a bad day they certainly took it out on you.

Then there was the expense of running a shop. The outfitting of the premises took ages and cost a heap. Shelving, cash registers, fittings and so on made it worse and then the cost of services. There were loading bay costs, a charge for allowing trucks to unload in the dock, telephone, electricity, insurance and theft dropped the profit line way down. At times I was working just to keep the shop open.

Aside from the general goods expected to be on display there were numerous calls for extras which would result in more stock, more outlay and more work. By the time I arrived home to my young family I was a wreck.

Never again would I go into a retail business and with that thought in mind it took me a long time to warm up to Internet trading. The difference, however, is astronomical and the rewards are way beyond expectations.

Running an Online Mall is a Sit Down Job - It is up to you how much time and effort you put into it.

In running my web sites it does take me a lot of time and effort to set them up and keep them fresh and interesting. For instance the merchants represented there often have sales or offer special deals which have to be represented. This will involve some more "window dressing" and rearranging of banners and so forth. But it is still nowhere near the work and heartache of running a physical shop, employing staff and visiting factories and outlets for goods, which then have to be unpacked to display.

Is running an online business an asset?

Its The 21st Century Thing To Do

My first products went online in the mid 1990s. They were a couple of e-books which I had written on my research and I naturally thought everyone and his dog wanted to read them. How wrong can one be? Although I lacked any kind of Internet advertising skills and aside from sending messages to paid lists and using Traffic Exchange sites I failed to get the traffic. Meanwhile I did spend a lot of money trying.

The buzz at that time, and now, is to have your own products online in order to make money. That means manufacturing a software program or producing an e-book or two. The results proved pathetic and were enough to turn me off that type of marketing forever. Newcomers were putting up things they knew little or nothing about and claimed they were experts. Those who invested in their goods usually got burnt.

Taking a break and looking long and hard at the situation I stumbled upon and my whole concept of marketing on the Internet changed. This Company lists thousands of merchants and their products to affiliates who join up free of charge and begin marketing through their own website.

The programs I had previously been involved with required the use of conjecture and hype and I was just not capable of fooling people. It seemed that so called gurus were thriving on marketing thin air and those who bought in were either taken for a ride or joined the queue to extract money from unsuspecting customers. This gave Internet marketing a jolt as it took on the look of a big con.

Those who could not be successful at it made sure they told everyone of their bad experiences. But something else was happening that took marketing online to a new level.

Search Engines came into their own

Search Engines started advertising goods through keyword auctions and paying publishers for space on the web page. It took off like a rocket as the money began to escalate and fortunes were being made by doing nothing more than putting up web pages for that purpose. Merchants trying to market their goods were facing ever higher prices to list their keywords and join the rush. This priced many out of the running until something else came along.

Something did come along called eBay and it taught everyone that people are willing to buy online if the goods and their price are right. Well we all know what happened with the online auction phenomena. It seems that if you have anything you no longer want tor need you can put it up for auction here and sell it.

The problem with that is you don't know what you are getting. You don't know the age, condition or quality of such goods and people are becoming highly disillusioned with such auctions.

Merchants who want to sell products online and who cannot handle it themselves need affiliates. These are marketers prepared to set up websites and list companies and their products for free in return for a percent of the sale price. This is where my shop comes into the picture. It takes shopping online to a new level.

Market Potential is Unlimited

Just imagine the millions of people who will visit a Company's site and order products when led there by thousands of marketers around the world. Those who do Internet marketing for a living are well versed in the best way to get traffic and they are directing new customers to their merchants every minute of the day.

They engage in article writing, blogs, forums and lenses, among other things, and the competition to earn the commission means many of them work for hours every day to do it. If you are a merchant you could never match the traffic they collectively generate and the sales made for every company soars. this means lower prices and shoppers who can save money this way will also talk about it to their friends. That relates to more sales.

All up the idea of marketing products online has enormous benefits for a manufacturer and wholesaler. There is no limit to what can be achieved and no barrier to making it big. Just think big and get online with your goods and cash in.

Another great Affiliate program is Amazon, which largely targets American and Canadians.

No Restrictions on Goods Offered

From underwear to beach clothes

So you are in the underwear business and you have some beautiful products that need special display. Well what about this garment from an exciting Italian designer and manufacturer represented here on my site

The range of lingerie and swimwear from this source is well worth a visit but they also specialize in bras with invisible straps that have to be seen to be believed.

What girl would not feel special dressed by them. They supply globally and more information can be found by visiting their site.

The main point here is that it is not offensive to market such goods online. They fit nicely with many other products that an affiliate might offer, such as weddings, formals, parties, and so on. By displaying it on a site people can easily see if it is something they would like to have. Their sizes are matched against those displayed by the Company and there is a guarantee if the garment does not fit or if there is some other problem. Delivery is usually by mail and can be global, in this case.

Beautiful Tees From Australia

Everyone can get into the act

With increasing emphasis on Australia and the quality of goods from that country many will prick up their ears at the thought of a nice souvenir or garment from down under. This manufacturer is right on target. With such great products they can sell them globally through affiliates and make a heap more than if they market only to tourists and folks who call into their store.

These magnificent designs are suitable for all occasions. Reasonably priced they make ideal gifts for friends and can be used to enhance one's own wardrobe. If you have something like this to sell then doing it through affiliates online is definitely more productive then any other form of selling.

Aussie Native Tees is, therefore, another product marketed for free on my site.

Bridal Gowns are Cheaper and Better

Designer clothes are a fraction of normal price

This magnificent designer wedding gown sells for just $299. In a retail shop it would probably be around $800 to $1000. So why the difference. Its because the merchant is selling through affiliates and his turnover is astronomical.

Just look at the image. The attention to detail and the magnificent style of it is something to behold. The image has a copyright mark across it to stop theft. The manufacturer has stated that his images are stolen by unscrupulous merchants who copy the design (rather badly) and sell garments similar but definitely not the same for the same price or higher. The unsuspecting customer receives a far inferior garment which is nothing like the image portrayed.

That is where a good agent comes in. It not only ensures the credibility of the company but also that of the affiliates who represent it n their sites. This saves a lot of heartache if purchases look for this kind of security and don't deal with cheap importers. Affiliates, like companies, build solid reputations online and if they do the wrong thing it is soon known.

The merchant usually bends over backwards to please his customers with top quality products and, as noted above, unique designer garments like this will make any bride proud. But he is not the only one doing it as there are many such manufacturers online.

The fact that his customers receive a garment with a solid guarantee, is delivered ahead of the wedding date and is a totally unique design with a special designer label has not inflated the price. Why? Because this merchant trades to a worldwide audience and prides himself on repeat business.

Jewelery Is A Smash Hit

Who would have thought you could buy this online?

If you sell anything in the jewelry line then check out how well these earrings display. Diamonds, silver, gold, and all types of gems and stones show up brilliantly on a web site. You can have affiliates concentrating their efforts in this area or who, like on my site, are happy to be displayed where those visitors who chance to drop in can be tempted to buy.

That is what happens in a real mall where people browse to see what products are new.

Many jewelry manufacturers are turning to the web these days and why not?

Books and Comics Are Sold Online

Great reading matter for all sizes brings in the customers

Books, books and more books. Or was it comics? Whatever type of book or reading matter you market it can also be a hit in the online market place. Merchants that are represented here offer virtually everything for any age.

Some have personalized books or gifts, CD's, and other stuff to tempt the fastidious buyer. But what about campus books that are hired, not bought. Now that's a new one. In this tight economy it is a great winner among students and parents alike. Books cost heaps of money and hiring instead of buying is a great way to go.

Writers can also market their books online with east, just as artists do their paintings. To approach publishing houses, send copies of manuscripts or a couple of chapters even for consideration is very expensive. The reject slips that often come back when the work is passed over is also very discouraging. Now authors can put their books online for a fraction of the normal cost by publishing themselves as e-books, which are very acceptable. My own books are being marketed this way for that reason.

Writers are artists and costs are a great consideration when the income is slow or even non existent. Don't muck around. Get going and market to the right audience and give the publishing houses a miss. You can't loose.

How Many Would Buy a Computer Online

My present computer was purchased over the Internet and as another is being sought it will again be bought this way. People who work online also buy online because they know the convenience and safety it offers.

Good Companies deal in good products and when you decide on what you want then its just a case of price searching and comparing service, etc. These companies market their products this way and their reputation is protected by the quality and quantity of items sold. Of course computers are not the only thing marketed by them as they also do cameras, mobile phones and a host of other goods.. .

Here is Proof That Marketing Online Is Profitable

No merchant can afford to reduce an item by some 3-400% yet the merchant can because his business is booming. With big name brands and thousands of products sold weekly he can certainly afford some great specials.

The watch displayed normally sells for $1295 but is listed on site for $399. That's more than 300% off. So when do your product go online. What lucky man will get in on this one?

Even Houses Are Sold Online

Well that's nothing new. Its been going on for years. People can even sell their own homes over the net and save big commissions by avoiding agents.

Sometimes, however, there are bargains to be had like those on this page that are not in the mainstream. Here there are 2 great chances for bargains. One is from government auctions, and at this time there are many repossessions being auctioned off for very low prices The other is from a generous Company offering a brand new $500,000 home for the price of a lottery ticket.

Proceeds are going to a charity that builds home for poor people without charge. It is my pleasure to be able to promote their efforts and I certainly home they do very well in business. It won't be my fault if they don't. So why not get yourself a ticket - you might win?

Online Marketing Bigger Profits

The old ways of selling goods is out

If you are a merchant looking for more sales, a better way of marketing your products and a string of advertising people to work for you then give Internet marketing a try. You now have enough information to get you started and by all accounts your bank balance will start to rise the day you take affiliates on board.

If you are someone wanting to join the affiliate marketing rush then this is also for you. Either way there is money to be made and far less frustrations doing it. Although, you must learn the ropes before success comes your way. But that is not hard to do.

If you join a Company like the one favored by me you will have everything handled for you. Payments to affiliates will be automatic. All you do is sit back and relax and send out your orders. You can market globally or locally. You can deliver goods yourself or ship them via courier, mail or freight. Whatever you decide you will not look back. That I can guarantee.

What are you waiting for? This link will get you there

I've joined a business venture with a friend last year through the coffee business and I'm enjoying it. Though I haven't had a lot of sale yet, I'm finding it that it is what I want to do at the moment. Being my own boss and doing it on my own time. Recently the news I received that it will soon become a boom in Oz and I'm glad I'm already in it. I wasn't a fan of the online marketing before and this is my very first time to do business but to see some income coming my way it's just awesome. Thanks for sharing these.

Another blessing for a fabulous lensmaster! I mentioned that I buy clothes online...well that is not exactly true. I will go to a shop and try on clothes, if I need them. If they are expensive, I will take down the info and go back home and try to find them cheaper online. Most of the time you can find the brand name and style somewhere cheaper. I do run an online collectible business and I buy items in shops, then post them online so I am giving local businesses their due while I am also playing middleman and making a profit. Retailers are partially moving online because people are looking there, however, I don't think it will ever be 100% because people just love to shop and impulse buys are a huge market for retailers. It isn't as easy doing impulse online. This was a cool idea for a lens. Thank you!

Fantastic lens. I'm not capable of fooling people either and consider that morally wrong amongst other things. Still can't get my head around this business but wishing you all the best.

A really good and well thought out lens on the topic and highly relevant. I will certainly be following along to see what new ideas I can pick up. You inspire me to work harder on my own marketing efforts.Well done indeed!

      Hi Norma :)

There's a lot of content on this lens. I think that for those that are lost on the Internet, it's a great resource, they'll better understand what they'll find on the Web and would also find what they are looking for faster (my mother would need such tool as even after two years, she's still lost, lol).

Rated 5 stars as this is a good lens, as usual :)
