The Career Wardrobe

The Career Wardrobe is an organization dedicated to helping women in obtaining professional clothing, networking, and Career skills training.

This oragnization helps about 5,000 women each year. They have helped more than 40,000 women since they first opened in December 1995.

The Career Wardrobe was created in 1995, by a group of working women in order to provide assistance for disadvantaged women who were striving to achieve self sufficiency for personal accomplishment and to provide for their family; in Southeastern Philadelphia.

The organization works in partnership with more than 100 job training programs, women shelters, and other social service programs throughout the Delaware Valley.

An average of 400 women receive assistance each month. More than 70% of the organization's clients have reported obtaining employment from their assistance.

The Career Wardrobe provides free interview-appropriate clothing and supportive services to women who are going from welfare to work or beginning a life away from domestic violence.

There are many people that need help in our own country and we are helping people in other countries. I wonder if those people would help our people?

      Thank you! Jeff

Imagine what could be done when creative people get together and simply refuse to be stopped by anything!

Now this is the spirit and reality of the America we should all be working for!

      Great hub, and thanks!
