Poetry Cards

Welcome! This is my "Poetry Card" series at Zazzle. I write poetry and have a few books for sale on Amazon.com and kindle versions. I will put the books here also so you can see the books the poems are from.

I created these cards to make my poetry available on individual cards with artsy backgrounds. Some of the poems are love poems, some are on loss, some are inspirational or spiritual in nature.

This poem is by my daughter

I am the coast. I am free.

Come walk the busy face of me.

I am feeling the people walk on me.

I feel the ocean going back and forth.

The cats and dogs are running on me.

I feel the children playing on me.

I can feel the wind against my face.

On my face, I see people riding their bikes.

Above, I see the birds flying away.

Mostly seagulls.

I see tall buildings raised.

I can hear the car horns go beep….

Very noisy!!!

Around me cats meow, dogs bark, birds sing, and people talk.

I hear women’s high heels go click, clack.

The ships are coming in.

I am watching the people water ski, ride boats, and swim.

Some people are flying.

The birds are flying.

I am guarding the land.

I am watching the sea.

People try to destroy me.

Children are playing on me.

On me people drive their cars.

People are building more buildings on me.

I am the coast. I am free.

Come walk the busy face of me.
