Top 10 secrets that every successful people have in Common

Updated on July 7, 2014

What is success ?

Success has different meaning for everyone. What may be success to someone may be just beginning for others. Success has no fix meaning. According to Anthony Robins

Success is doing what you want to do, when you want, where you want, with whom you want, as much as you want.

When I asked my dad to define success in his own term. He said

Keeping this family together, being a good husband, good father and most importantly being honest to myself is success to me.

For an army men in a battlefield, success will be being alive at the end of the day.

When I asked myself I realised that definition of success had changed for me time to time. When I was 12, finishing my homework on time was success to me, when I turned 16 being cool in front of my friends was a success, now when I am 22 being an entrepreneur is my current definition of success.

I think, I made my point clear that success is a relative variable.

Achieving Success

How do I define success?

Most people think, only the rich people are successful, well it's partly true but not always. It's not always the money that makes us successful rather it's the satisfaction level that we achieved makes us successful.

To find out what success means to you, Close your eyes and picture yourself 1 year from today. How do you see your self ? Do you see yourself getting rich or spending good time with your love ones ? Now if you are able to achieve what you have visualise just now, then you will be called successful. And thus you can define success in your own terms.

After reading many stories of successful people, I have made a note on some of common quality they all possess. And decided to share the list of Top 10 things that every successful people have in common.(In no particular order)

Whenever I am using the word successful people, I am referring to people who had been acknowledged as a master in their respective fields by large no people.

1. Follow your Heart

Do something you love and success will follow you.

The key to success is to do what you can do and doing it well. You need to give 100% , and you can only give your 100% only if you don't get tied of what you do , this is only possible when you have passion in what you do

Steve jobs once said on his interview.

If you look at the ones that ended up being successful in the eyes of society, often times it's the ones who love what they do, so they could persevere when it got really tough.

2. Work Hard

Success is the sum of small effort you work day in and day out.

There is no shortcut to success in life. After reading biography of many successful person , they had a great thing in common ie. hard work. They work all night , all day. People don't get rich because they were lucky, luck can only take you to certain limits. After that it's all about the hard work you do.Harder you work more luckier you will get.

The difference b/w a successful person and average person is their dream. An average person after certain period stop dreaming and get satisfy with their present life where a successful person strives for perfection. Their hunger and thirst to achieve their goals never ends.

Power of imagination is that it's infinite.

4. Take Risk

Only 1% of population can take risk rest 99 can work for the business that has been already establish. And only that 1% are able to make success breakthrough.

One big thing about people who are successful is their self-confidence , they believe in what they do.Sometimes in life they had to take big decision sometimes even risking everything they have. Bill Gates Mark, Zuckerber ,Steve Jobs they had two things in common. First they are multi-billionaires and second they are college dropout. They all studied in the most prestigious colleges of the world and leaving them without a degree ,was a big risk. However they took the risk and become most successful man on the planet.

You are so right. Passion is probably the biggest driving force behind most successful people. I like the E. M. Forster quote that you use.
