The Medicine Ball Session: Seth Godin's new course
Three days to rethink what's possible and to get moving... SOLD OUT, applications closed. Sorry.
The medicine ball is an extraordinary training device because it's so heavy... heavier than it looks. That makes it hard to throw and hard to catch.
Most of us are carrying one around with us all day long. That hefty potential bit of impact, the possibility of effort and art and difference-making that we're afraid to actually use.
In this event (I'm hesitant to call it a seminar, because it's not) I want to teach, interact and challenge at the same time I expose you to others who are traveling the same path. That's why I'm limiting it to just seventy people.
The truth is this: I don't think a book or a blog post is enough. Face to face interaction, the exchange of molecules of air and the fear and bravery that is only exposed from interpersonal interaction--that's when real change starts.
Read on for details and how to apply.
The three day structure
On the first day, when everyone will be there, I'll spend the morning outlining my thinking on the revolutionary opportunity we all share (and the massive dislocation we're all living through.) Readers of my books and blogs will be familiar with most of this, but I've found that going through the arc in person is really powerful.
The afternoon will be dedicated to general Q&A, with a focus on answering objections and fleshing out core ideas.
Thursday will be focused on your work, your projects and your particular stuckness. We'll conclude the day with group work and specific interactions designed to articulate new opportunities.
Friday will be group work, pitch and process practice, and more on-the-spot chances for direct feedback. PS Ishita will be there.

The pricing for the event is $780 a day. I'm hoping that people will stay for all three days, but you can choose to come for just the first or second day. All the pricing details are on the application. And yes, there are some discounted seats for students and non-profit attendees.

We start each day at 9:15 sharp.

I'll make it easy for the group to plan evening events if you choose, but I'm pretty zonked by the end of the day.
The event will not be webcast, streamed or sold.
Parking! there's on street metered parking, with a $20 ticket if you don't feed the meter
or you can park about two blocks up the road on a more suburban street and it's free.
December 7, 8 and 9, 2011 - Held in Hastings on Hudson NY, just up the river from New York
A forty-minute train ride from Grand Central Station, I'd love to have you join me in a beautiful restored building for a close look at the revolution.
The internet is way more than wasting time with YouTube videos. It has radically transformed every industry it touches, and changed what it means to do work, probably forever. I've been thinking hard about this for a long time, and want to take you through that thought process.
Beyond that, though, and far more urgent, I want to talk about your plans, your organization, your projects and most of all, what you're doing about the opportunity of a lifetime.
See above for the link to apply. After applications are received, I'll send out a link with how to get tickets. Deadline for applications is November 8 at midnight NY time.

Where to stay
Many people prefer to stay in Manhattan and take the train each way, but there are many chain hotels within a ten minute drive if you prefer. Hotels.com can be found by clicking on the picture...
As for flights, HPN is the closest airport, and LGA, EWR and JFK (in that order) are quite conveniently located, if not attractive airports.
If I forgot a detail, ask about it here and I'll clarify. If the question is answered on the page, I won't bother to post it here.
