That's All Folks!

Updated on October 27, 2012

Hooray!!!!!!!!! 30/30 Is A Done Deal.

So in the inimitable style of Porky Pig.........'That's all folk's', as this is the the last article in the 30/30 Hub Page Challenge.

I think I should now share my experience of the last 30 days with you in the hope that I can motivate you to do the challenge.

This challenge was initiated as you may well know by Ardie and BelaM along with myself.Just as well we got together as the support we gave each other really helped. Almost daily motivational comments through Facebook allowed us to communicate about our progress.

The best bit of advice to anyone thinking of doing the challenge has to be to get yourself a challenge cheerleader. If you tackle it alone it could be a lonely place to be. Doing it alongside a friend makes it more competitive and gives a sense of team spirit. Obviously you don't want to be the one in the team who flunks out. Equally you don't want your team mates to fail either, so you help each other along when the going get's tough.

When the going get's tough

And believe me it does get tough. My tough stage came around day 7. The thought of another 3 weeks of daily ramblings was a daunting thought. However, I was enjoying the experience. Working twelve hours a day, coming home, having a meal then settling down for the next instalment of this gruelling challenge.

Never once did I think that I wouldn't complete or that I didn't have enough material to do 30 hubs. Material wasn't a problem. During the first 2 weeks of the challenge I was bitten by a dog, my wife was threatened with redundancy at work and part of my time had to go to the campaign to stop the redundancies happening. As you will recall if you have been keeping up with the story of my challenge there was good news at the end as she kept her job after winning the campaign. The third week of the challenge I was attacked whilst driving my van at work by a kamakazi Pheasant. In the forth week of the challenge I was offered promotion at work. So much happened whilst doing the challenge that you couldn't make it up if you tried.

Needless to say all the happenings provided the raw materials I needed to get this job done. A better source of material I could not have wished for.

Prior to starting the challenge and in preparation for it I made a list of hubs I thought I might like to write for the challenge.I made a list of 40 and used just 4 of the original titles.

You guessed it, I still have enough fodder to do it all again.

Not a chance at the moment.

30/30 Hub Challenge

Fanfare for the common man

What is next for PCC?

There a couple of things which are of importance to me which I must first focus on.

  • Catch up with my followers and comments ( over 40 new as a result of 30/30)
  • Check in with my NEW followers
  • Start reading hubs again ( especially Ardie's and Haunty's ). Sorry guys, I will be there soon.
  • Go back on 30/30 hubs and tweak bits I didn't have time to do properly.
  • Achieve my goal of writing 100 hubs.
  • Achieve the goal of 10k page views
  • Be accepted for Hub Pages Elite (hub greeter)
  • Get my first remittance from the hub page ad program and Adsense.
  • Achieve the first sale from Amazon
  • Visit and update my blogs and other sites
  • LEARN SEO for more success.
  • Be a success in the new job

That's it...finished!

Can't think of anything else to add other than to thank everyone who has supported me both around the hubs and various groups. The best wishes and encouragement has been awesome. It's time to get back to a normal routine and build this thing fast. I have the momentum now and look forward to catching up with you all very soon.

A final thanks to Tracey, my better half for putting up with the silent treatment whilst I have had to concentrate on the challenge to see it through. Normal service should resume as soon as possible.XXXXXXX

Poshco, that is very impressive, especially considering you were working twelve hour days before you wrote your hubs. Hats off to you, for finishing this up.

Congrats, PCC. You really achieved something already!

During my 30/30 ordeal, I was drained up and has to take off for a week but it's worth it (with those accolade and HubNugget nomination).

Thanks for your votes and comments.

Yes it was a big task, but worth it.

Since I finished the challenge it has taken me a few weeks to get over it and I haven't really got back into the flow. Check back soon and I hope to be posting some new content.

WTG Jennifer Essary. Hey you are almost half way! It's all down hill from there. Gonna H Hop over and take a look. Keep pushing, you'll get there. It's strange once you complete it. You don't know what to do next. I finished over a week ago and I still haven't caught up with everything yet!

Oohh, forgot, thanks for you vote and for taking time to comment whilst doing your own challenge.

CONGRATS STEVE!!!! Im so happy you made it - you were the first of our trio to finish and it motivated me all that much more to finish the job. During this challenge you stayed strong even with all the things happening in your life. You and T had a rough patch (not relationship but with work and friends), you worked tirelessly, you were bitten and dive-bombed, and you still came out a champ. I am SO proud of you!!!!
