500 Followers On HubPages

Updated on June 30, 2015

Who is communicating with you on HP today?

The goal is to have sincere followers.

If having viewers on HubPages is important to you, then having sincere followers is your goal.

The sincere follower actually follows.

They know your Hubs may be of interest to them, and they can look forward to them.

It is one thing to say that you are following thousands. (One new Hubber was "following" over 1,000 on her first day, which didn't leave her much time to read any of their Hubs, or make discriminating choices!)

It is another thing to follow Hubbers who have kindled some interest, enough to lead you back to them, and to have HP alert you to their newest Hubs.

Treasure the sincere follower.

The chances are good that what interests them about your Hubs is a common interest they share with you. It is very likely that they will be writing Hubs about similar topics and that those will interest you. You can quickly reach the point at which you are co-viewers.

I realize that out of my 501 current followers there are some, perhaps many, who signed up simply in hopes that I would return the favor and read something of theirs....I usually do.

That may have been the sole motivation of the gal who decided to follow over 1,000 writers on her first day, and others who periodically "follow" a new batch of 16 or more other writers.

You can tell who is likely to be sincere, by looking at the new followers profile under their heading "My Activity" to see how many other writers they chose to follow at the same time they chose to follow you. The greater that number, the less likely they are to be a sincere follower.

The goal is to have sincere followers.

The way to accomplish that goal is to write quality, informative, even entertaining Hubs, and that is something you, and only you, can control.

Thanks for following.

What do you hope to find when you sign back in to HubPages?
