Accolades on Hubpages

Updated on July 24, 2012

Numbers

I love numbers and figures, you can’t go far in life without numbers, and number’s are all around us. When we are born, we are given a time and date of our birth, same goes for our death. During the course of our life numbers are there during almost every moment we are awake. Maybe even numbers are in our dreams too.

Accolades

I’ve always since I can remember loved numbers, sometimes the bigger the number the more interesting it becomes. I’ve been on Hubpages now for just over 2 and half years, not really that long, but longer than some. My views currently are around 31,000 which again aren’t a very large number, but more than some again. This is my 58 hubs which I’m writing to date. I was looking through the FAQ and came across the accolades which you receive from time to time for different achievements on Hubpages. Like being here for say one year or you have written 10 hubs or have 1,000 views and so on. I guess over the time I’ve been on Hubpages I’ve seen them a number of times. However something jumped out at me. Two numbers, two accolades which screamed at me, look, look at me. They were the number of hubs and the number of views.

Number of hubs

If you go into FQA and scroll down to where the accolades are then across at the accolades for the number of written hub’s you will see 10,000 at the end. Ok I’m not sure if I will ever write that many hubs but just for one minute imagine how long it would take you to write that many. Well if you decided to sit down now and start to write one hub per day, it would take you just over 27 years to do.

How many Hubs have to written so far?

Number of views

The second figure that screamed at me was the numbers of views, 100 million views, wow, amazing just imagine having 100 millions views to your work. Well for one I can’t and I sure some of us can’t either. If you were to sit down and start to write 10,000 hubs then maybe over the next 27 years and if indeed Hubpages are still around then. Then maybe just maybe you may have 100 million views, which will work out to be 3.7 million views per year. Now I’m not sure how much you would have earned over those 27 years with a 100 million views but I’m guessing it would be more than a few pennies that is for sure.

How many views have you received to your work so far?

Mind blowing

Mind blowing figures to say the least and something that I will never see for myself, no matter how long I’m here for. I’m finding it hard to get my head around those kind of figures and just wondering if anyone is indeed anywhere near those kind of figures, which I don’t think there is. So on to writing a few most hubs.

Thank you for viewing, take care and have fun

Thank you Brad, yes they are amazing numbers you look at, and somehow I'm 100% I will never ever see them for sure :)

Those are some amazing numbers, and I'm doubting I'd achieve those numbers either; 27 years to write 10, 000 Hubs if you wrote one a day. Yes, that is likely not going to happen. For one, I'm pretty sure I won't write one a day. Good examination of possibilities, and interesting Hub. Thanks!

Very interesting hub Kev. Those are definitely some staggering numbers that you brought to our attention. I never even realized those numbers existed on the badges you brought up. I doubt I achieve those types of numbers, but I guess it's attainable. The sky is the limit on here. Nice hub my man. Keep up the great work.

I also love to look at numbers and stats--it can get addictive. But with poetry, I have learned to take it slow--you seem to be doing well Kev! Keep it up!

I think it doesn't matter the amount of hubs you publish, it's more of the quality of hubs. I been here for about 3 years at 128 hubs and almost at my first 1 million view accolade. Presently at 890k views Which to me is amazing enough. I'm very modivated to reach it. I think anything is possible if you really put time and energy into it as well as stay consistent. Best of luck to you and continue to publish create hubs!
