Beginning to Make Money on HubPages

Updated on May 23, 2014

I have been on HubPages for three years, but have only made a few dollars here and there. Why? Because I wasn't really trying to make money, and I only had a few Hubs up for other people to read. I also didn't have the Ad Program active on this account. I kind of forgot about it. I used my other account for the forums and socializing. Only just recently have I been starting to write more Hubs and trying to make money.

So far this month, I've made over a dollar on each of my accounts. This is more that I usually make, so I must be doing something right. I still won't "write for the web" and do keyword research and all of that, but I will write more and more. I only want to write what I want to write, and not what will make money. If that means I make a lot less money that I could, then so be it.

I am enjoying myself writing about the stuff that interests me, like metaphysics, sacred geometry, and philosophical questions about life. I hope people read my Hubs, because I would enjoy discussing these things with other people who share my interests.

I plan to write a lot more, in hopes of making more money too. I am interested in making residual income, and I think HubPages is a good place for that. I want to see my earnings grow, which would be amazing to see from something that I enjoy doing. Instead of working hard, I am going the easy route. Why not? Why do things have to be hard? If I can make money doing something I enjoy, and that other people might even enjoy, than what's the harm in that?

Already two of my earlier articles are getting a lot of views for some reason. Maybe they are linked somewhere that has a lot of traffic. They aren't my favorite articles, but I don't really expect my favorite ones to get a lot of traffic. Those were articles I wrote years ago before I got into a philosophical mindset.

I hope to see my earnings continue to grow, and in the meantime, I will continue to write.
