Don't You Just Hate Hub Thieves!!!!!!!!!!

Updated on September 10, 2012
Steal From Me Will You?????
Steal From Me Will You?????
Justice Is Served!
Justice Is Served!

Lets Begin!

Recently many of us have become victims of content thieves, to those of you who don't know what they are I will give you a list of the different terms used to describe them...

The List Is As Follows :)

1 - B*S*A*Ds

2 - Swines

3 - Pigs

4 - Mofo's

5 - Thieves

6 - Plagiarists

I will leave the list there as I am sure you will get the general idea of who these people are and what they do, when they copy your work and promote it on their sites as their own work and we end up losing traffic and being told that our work is copied!!!

I had some work stolen by one who had a very funny name that I cant even pronounce never mind write down as this person had more consonants in their name than a game of Scrabble!!! I am beginning to think that torture should be allowed when these people are caught and we should be allowed to administer it very slowly and very methodically too!

Anyways this person got told off, and sent to bed without any super for stealing my work as I was extremely cross and emotional ( I was not crying) I just hoped that his next bowel movement was a hedgehog or porcupine!

This person is now in a lot of trouble because he stole alot of other work too so he will be punished for it.. Now the second one was not too bad as we sorted something out and they apologized which is fine because they were nice about it and we had a loaded shotgun facing them so, there was nothing much they could do but apologize or blend into the landscape... They had a choice! I am only kidding it was a M16 but you say potato lol :)

Thieves Beware!!!!!

Serious Stuff

I have had a great talk with two very wise hubbers about what you should do if you suspect your content has been stolen after you have smacked the wall and kicked the cat and raided the fridge like I did and attacked the haagen daaz ice cream :)

The first hubber posted this wonderful piece of advice that is really helpful if you find your self in this situation -

http://rhondawaits.hubpages.com/ - If you write a hub, I have and idea for you. Put a paragraph in there about, doing a google search and do it everyday. That way, you get a heads up on the theifs. I do it daily. It works.

Thttp://homesteadbound.hubpages.com/ has written a hub about it giving you full advice and I have her permission to link this hub straight to hers - Thank you homesteadbound for letting me do this :)

Once she has finished the hub I will post the link here so that you can read it and follow her advice :)

Thank you for reading I hope that you have enjoyed it :)

It really p*ss*s me off when people steal your hard work and try to pass it off as their own sh!t whether it be thematic, content or phraseology etc... and not giving any accreditation for their inspiration.

More blatantly, some are even doing it here on HP itself - I can think of three Hubbers off the top of my head who do this, one who does it regularly, but they're easy to spot through Google Analytics, especially on Hubs which haven't been read for a while; what part of ' Subject to Copyright ' don't they understand?

I have no desire to name them publicly and destroy their writing reputations and there's sometimes no point in entering into legalities with them as most haven't got a ha'penny to scratch their arse with. B*st*rds.

      Thanks for writing this Hub.

I'm not sure that any of my work is worth stealing, maybe, I don't know. It's not that I'm not confident, I'm just real with myself. I guess at first I would be flattered, but if my readers start to decline I would be unhappy, and If got accused of stealing my own work I would be extremely unhappy. I work very hard on everything I do, and think I deserve the blame or credit whichever is the case. Thanks for writing, voted up and useful.

I agree wwolfs there have been those who have stolen whole articles word for word but its inevitable that we will have similar sentences :)

Interesting hub. I would hope most people would want to write about a topic with their own words. I do think, however, it would be almost impossible to never write a similar sentence or use the same words to describe something that is written about many times. Great points, though. I'm sure there are some that steal word for word.

Thanks Rhonda I knew you would love it - I thought that humour would be the best answer to lighten the mood on such a horrible topic that has harmed us and touched us all the past few weeks :)

I feel your frustration on having your work stolen but I wonder if would even know most of the time. I have written very little lately due to health problems, but I have written over 300 hubs and I can't check on all of them. I always put a copy write statement at the end of each of my hubs. This is a good article about a topic I am hearing about more frequently.
