Every Hubbers Nightmare

Updated on October 13, 2011

How many times have you asked yourself, “who are the people on hub pages and how trustworthy are they?” How do we know the information they post is true? We have all heard of people that use different names and even had instances of where they will come in under another alias and post comment to themselves to promote an article or improve their standings. We all have had comments made both positive and negative to postings and they help to improve our writing ability. But conversely we have received comments that are done with malicious intent, derogating and often false, said to destroy the individual or disparage their hub.

We all know that when comments are left; the individual IP address and time the comment is left, is recorded and made available to the host.

I myself, along with several other individuals on Hubpages and Facebook, had run-ins with just such an individual. Sadly the person in question had done some research and did in fact have good credible information that he might have used to assist authors.

Fortunately most of us were able to disassociate ourselves from this man and he was successfully removed from Hubpages. This was done by great efforts and diligence from AEvans, a well known and respected hubber of many years.

But as it happens, the individual is back on Hubpages under a new Identity publishing the same tripe that has caused some good writers to leave Hubpages all together. To rebuke the individual and question their integrity, would send them into a tyrant and provoke less than acceptable language and personal insult from them.

individuals like these are uncovered and exposed often to the tripe and ineffective people they are. Because of their in-ability as a writer, they believe redemption and popularity is made possible by use of insulting and degrading comments on other hubs. They can and often do, create a website that will support the dribble offered to the unsuspecting as facts. To this end I can only say: caution to inquiring individuals and be wary.

By entering into the world of the internet, we are assumed to have some level of intelligence. But, as I stated earlier, I and many now friends, were caught up in the spew contrived by a want-to-be self-made publisher. We allowed this because of our zest to become a published author and our ego’s were fed with carefully articulated statements set forth to tempt our artistic and creative hunger. The levels of deception were carefully enveloped into a narcissistic individual’s contrivance, initiated to fill his own pockets by misleading and well versed statements.

The aforementioned individual is back on Hubpages as I stated before, and once again working his charm with deception and silver tongued tripe He states he is from Atlanta instead of his home in San Antonio Texas. He publishes hubs that offer spiritual guidance, of which he himself is in dire need. I find this truly interesting when set beside some of the profane and disparaging statements sent to myself and others by him. the evidence lies in documented e-mails, as well as recorded phone conversations. Fortunately he will be held responsible for his actions when he stands before God.

In closing, I can only say that one should be wary of who you trust and what personal information you provide. God gives us the ability to disseminate between truth and deception by researching facts. How we respond to that information is what separates us, and protects us from the vultures.
