Feedback, Votes and Comments

Updated on November 22, 2011

Comments - Votes - Feedback

All appreciated

Some of us are uninformed. I count myself in that also. I did not realize how important the votes and feedback were to my hubs. Of course with my windy soul, comments were the natural thing to do.

Why is Feedback so important? Feedback is important so you can tell if you have reached the goal you have set for yourself. Did your article get voted “useful” and you intended it to be “funny?” If so, as a writer, it’s time to evaluate yourself and your approach.

Feedback is a good tool for all of us. So remember to leave your feedback for all the hubs you read. Do remember, however, if you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all. (unless you found it horrid, then be honest).

Votes are important because they show the folks at hub pages where you stand with their reading audience. Votes are very much appreciated.

And of course, your comments are what tell writers whether or not you understood, like or dislike our writings. Were they helpful? Were they boring? Can you relate or not?

Your comments are what encourages and spurs us on. Constructive criticism keeps us moving forward. It is as important as all of the kind words you send our way.

In closing I would like to thank you on behalf of all hub page writers, in advance for your votes, feedback and comments.

Thank you!

I agree with you totally! Censoring seems unbalanced. I like to make up my own mind. Thank you for reading my hub and commenting.

      :)

Pixie, if you have read my profile page, you will see that I will not read someone's hub that censors comments.

I think if I take the time to read and comment, you should not pick and choose the ones you like. I like to see others views

Tony, it is worth a lot. And thank you for sharing your opinion!

I now tell folks in my comments when I vote and click on the other options. Makes me feel better. Someone did that for me.

      Have a great weekend.

I'm in complete agreement with you here, Pixienot. For creative writers, comments must be the main reason to even post here. For the commercially oriented, it is a mixed bag: Whether receiving many comments is a blessing or distraction. But for most up and comers, surely there are many benefits to be reaped, and those are part of what makes HubPages an attractive site to write and publish on. Nice job!

That's just it, Tony, I don't think folks understand how important the votes are to our encouragement. My writing seems to go up and down in score. Makes me wonder if I am getting worse rather than better.

I have taken up the attitude that if I read something I will vote (unless I don't like it which is very rare).

Miles and miles of smiles coming your way!

Your comments are quite true, we all like to get some feedback for our efforts and as a guide to how well we are writing.

      Good luck for the future

I'm still learning the whats and whys of all the bells and whistles. I just wanted to write and get the perspective of some other people. HP is more than that though. Welcome!

Thank you so much for the compliment Will. I am working on a piece of fiction. But first have to write more on Fibromyalgia. Thanks for reading my stuff!

Welcome to the Pages (I can offer that greeting because I am one week your senior here!)

I've read some of your stuff and you absolutely have the necessary talent. If you want to be a novelist, how about some fiction? Try a short story. Get your feet wet!

      Voted up and useful!

I think we all live to see comments on our Hubs...we see our followers in numbers on our page, but not necessarily in print. It is time consuming...but always appreciated. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this subject.

Thank you, Pixienot! I don't think that most people realize the importance of those little buttons right above the comments section.
