Fifty Questions Answered On HubPages Surpassed By Three Hundred Questions

Updated on November 14, 2015

What On Earth?

Have you ever met a three year old? They ask questions. They drive you crazy asking questions. The average 3 year old asks upward of 400 questions a day. They spend nearly every waking moment asking questions. By asking questions they learn the parameters of their world. If nobody answers their questions how will they learn?

There are stupid questions, but for the most part questions are worthy of asking. What I love about answering questions on Hub Pages is I can be choosy as to the questions I answer. Some questions don't get answered for a variety of reasons, but mostly because I don't have time.

Trivial Pursuit is a favorite of mine. People who have trivia stored in their minds are likely to know stuff I might like to know. Personally, I think questions are an avenue to new ideas and fun facts like:

Penny rolls have fifty pennies. There are fifty states in the United States of American. The atomic number of tin is fifty. Fifty years is half a century. Fifty years of marriage is a golden anniversary

Today is a golden day for tirelesstraveler; she was awarded a new accolade for answering fifty questions on Hub Pages.

Have you ever answered a question on Hub Pages?

Why Would Anyone Answer Questions?

Today will be remembered as the day that tirelesstraveler answered her 50th question on Hub Pages. Why would anyone spend time answering questions on Hub Pages when you could be answering questions on WebAnswers and making money? So glad you asked. Answering questions on Hub Pages gives you access to interesting men, women, and maybe a few aliens who write intelligent thought provoking questions. The people of Hub Pages are diverse and universal. I especially love my Australian hub friends, who are just starting their day as I finish mine. Some hubbers steal my heart with stories of great joy that cause me to laugh myself silly. Some hubbers make me cry; all I want is to hug them. Some hubbers make me so angry I could spit. I need a little of each of these kind of authors to balance my day. Those hubbers who make me mad stretch me. I wouldn't trade them for the world. They give me insight to clarify my beliefs and sometimes re-evaluate. If nobody answers questions how can we glean knowledge from each other? The study of people is fascinating. Answers give a broad perspective into who people are. The questions asked give me ideas that rabbit trail to ideas I would never have otherwise. Following questions may lead to new authors to associate with.

When questions go ballistic without much mud slinging and meanness it is refreshing. When mud slinging gets out of hand simply stop following. It is only a question.

Other reasons I answer questions: I feel a connection to people in places I want to visit. There are also those places to which, I want to return. Reading authors who write about those places is almost as good as actually being there. No not really, but it sure helps.

The people on Hub Pages are spirited and lively and I love em. When you are answering questions you meet new authors to follow and increase your reader base. Which leads more people to read your works. As writers, we have something to say that is important. Important words need to be read. One of the ways to find your public is answering questions.

More Than Two Hundred Questions Later

More than two hundred questions later I am still convinced answering questions stretch you and give you balance. Don't forget meeting wonderful people will enrich your life.

How To Answer Questions And IncreaseYour Reader Base

When you get Hub Pages daily notifications look at the questions that have been posted. Look at the kind of questions being asked that day. On your HP tool bar you will also see "Answers". You can see older questions by clicking on them. After looking at the questions decide if you know anything about the topic. Read through the comments. Today, as I was getting ready to answer a question I stopped and read the other answers. My answer completely changed because of the rich quality of the other answers and the fresh ideas they prompted in my mind. If you know nothing of the subject you can always research the subject and then answer. Remember you are marketing yourself to increase your readership base. Answering thoughtfully, graciously and accurately draws readers.

Questions is a excellent place to get ideas for hubs.

Read through what others have written . If you find an interesting answer look at the authors profile; decide whether or not they would be interesting in following that author. In my early days of writing for Hub Pages I didn't understand my small reader base was my own doing. You have to follow other writers and read their work so they will discover you. Other writers aren't shunning you they don't know you exist. You need to market yourself. Do that by answering questions and following other Hub Page authors.

You can even be the intelligent questioner. Looking at recent questions you will see a text box on the top right corner where you can type your questions. As you follow other hubbers you get the best education and increase your reader base at the same time.

Bravo Hub Page Answers! You are one of the reasons Hub Pages is a great place to write.

I like both asking, and answering questions because, as you mentioned, it is a good way to interact with other hubbers. It is helpful if I don't know something to be able to ask, and get a range of answers.

you raise some very interersting points here, good hub. There is some helpful hints and ways to improve your hub experience.

      Welldone 50 questions.

I'm far more interactive with my readers now than before, and it has shown dividends. I also think it is important to write on quite a wide base of topics; that way you will catch other readers.

Jynzly-I am rather paranoid myself. My only comfort is I live with a computer engineer. I don't download anything unless it checks out. This morning I downloaded clip art. When the program said "You can speed up your computer if you remove these programs". These programs were my security software. Thank you so much for visiting.

Sparklea- I am always amazed at how much I know, and how much there is to learn.

      Samson-Welcome delighted you visited

Such a hub, I love the way you clearly express these facts concerning questions and answers. I myself, despite being paranoid in the net, love the hubpages especially the question and answer part. Admittedly, I am not into hubbing for money and only because I am scared of competition in the net; how would I know if somebody hates me then hack me? I have had very bad experiences in the net but I love hubpages.

I love it here and your hub is wonderful, I voted up.

I really enjoyed reading this. I had personally not given much thought to the 'questions', but have recently begun to answer some. Many are quite thought provoking. Voted up and useful. Thanks for your insight and I promise to read and answer more questions...

Good hub. I find great ideas by answering questions and I also always answer comments on my hubs. I have favourite hubbers too. Like you, I just stop my involvement in any answers which become rude or disrespectful; can't see the point. It's always possible to put over your own point of view without offending. Voted up and interesting.
