Good Hub ideas come a dime a dozen

Updated on November 5, 2013

Getting in the Groove of hubbing to get ideas

Ever since I started hubbing, and been a super active hubber, I began to write hubs all day and night most of the time. So, its not easy to get good ideas to write about for me, and so what I do is plan ahead of time to write a few groups of differing hub series.

Some of them are 3 hubs long, and others 10 to 20 hubs in each complete series, which spans great amounts of time to do actually.

A good example would be to challenge yourself to setting hub writing goals, of fulling up one particular hub group, and or category/sub categories such as science, or entertainment.

More great idea stems & creations-

  • I also read many peoples hubs as well, which many times inspires me to leave massive comments for them, which if it gets to long I decide to turn them into hub responses, then I place them into the hub about hubs category.
  • I get inspiration for writing hubs in response to a Q&A question, doing so helps me to challenge my research skills, or writing abilities even further by attempting to provide the best well thought out answers for people in the hubpages community, and maybe for the rest of the online world.

True life experiences help

Real world situations help me to get ideas too, I select topics of interest that I feel many people are searching for, and I go for it pretty much.

At times I pull relevant information from my own historical archive up in my head, then match what I've learned in college many years back, and end up on Wikipedia hunting down the exacts, and informative references that all help me to solidify my knowledge I've once found.

This actually helps me to get inspired even further, and especially when I locate more info then what my college professors, and even high school teachers have taught us about in their curriculum, I think this is due to them not truly being able to teach us everything.

Sometimes when I'm about to go to bed, my mind begins racing like crazy, and at times I can come up with entire hubs to write about. However, it sucks for me as well, because if I don't get up and write it all down somewhere, I simply lose that particular train of thought, and even the title of the hub I had in my head. Yet another great idea lost forever pretty much. So I try to get it all out of my head as soon as I think of it, and even if I'm very tired, because its better to get it out then lose it forever. I never know if that could of been the big break hub I needed.

I like tapping into technology for awesomely cool! ideas too

This cool device takes you for a slick ride where ever you direct it to go, except for up and down stairs that is, Hehe!

Connecting with people

I have actually been getting great ideas most recently, to write hubs from many of the communications I've been making with fellow hubbers via Facebook. When I chat with folks, sometimes I will say something, and then I think wow! that sounds like a good hub idea, and I instantly write the title down that I thought of, and sooner or later I'm off to the races trying to accomplish expounding on the cool thought.

Its very interesting though the many conversations, I've had thus far, and I must say, without this awesome community of great writers, none of this would ever be possible, because I've joined many networks for networking and differing things, but hubpages stands out to me to be the best by far when it comes to meeting people digitally, and getting to make cool friendships with folks.

This is why I think newer and brighter ideas will simply start rolling out like no other, and even times when reading or writing posts there with fellow writers, because they all have amazing thoughts to share, and very positive most of the time as well.

Saving the best for last

Last but not least if all else fails for finding ideas to write about, I simply take a break and let the search engines do the trick for me, sometimes I drift into web surfer mode, and end up in online places that may seem cool to write about, then I study its background info, about section, and even join it all to learn the ins and out's, and once I'm done surveying its web spaces I return with some juicy information on how it all works, and I even create tutorial videos on it all.

Oh and I almost forgot, I love making how to hubs, and so that part of me comes from being a technician with the US Navy, and so I'm actually a professional trainer of sorts in real life, besides a technology geek.

I get loads of ideas from using Vimeo's video sharing network

@josh3418, I try my best bro, its not easy to maintain such a high tempo and pace, but I'm trying to get to 300 hubs, before my 13 month on hubpages and with all high quality hubs as well.

So, I got my work cut out for such a tough personal goal, but it is doable indeed. Thanks for supporting me on so many hubs, I can't wait to be able to return the favor for sure.

Good tips, cloud. My particular issue is working full time and not enough hours in the day to devote to writing. My mind never shuts off, which is distressing when I'm trying to sleep. I'll get an idea in my head, or catch one thru one of my lengthy hub comments and quickly jot down the idea. I have sticky notes all over my home office, notes scratched on paper, even have a poem I've entitled, but haven't written!

There just aren't enough hours in this writer's day!

I find my mind racing around as I lay in bed at night. There are so many ideas out there and so little time to write about them all. Great hub. Up and awesome.

Yikes Bill, you done it again, man I think you've broken the record for being the very first person to reach every hub of mine, lol. Wow!

I am so glad you found this hub to be some what entertaining to you my food friend, thus far I been challenged to answer a bunch of questions, I need a bright new accolade, so hopefully my answers help others in more ways then one.

Cheers Bill to awesome hubbing, you are one of the best by far, because not only do you write so many great hubs that people love and enjoy. You also cheer others on as you go along, supporting us as you said every step of the way, and I have no clue how you manage it all, nor do I want to know, but I do know your loaded with talent, experience and love for others.

This is what I sense about you Bill, and in every way imaginable, thanks for everything.

Mike, I always marvel at some who write about writer's block. My problem is too many ideas and not enough time to write about them. Writer's block? What is that? How is that possible? My brain won't shut off and I know that to be true for you as well.

Bravo to you; you are a fountain of knowledge and an excellent person. I wasn't going to read any more hubs today, but when I see CloudExplorer has written then I must stop and read.

Have a wonderful weekend my brother. Keep your voice alive; scream the truth from the mountain tops and I'll be right along with you, step for step, making this world a better place.
