Got my first hub featured

Updated on August 10, 2017

This is how I was a few days ago on hubpages. I did not think I would be published. Thought I will be in bootcamp forever. Even tho I was frustrated I had a feeling it was going to pay off soon just had no clue when. After being rejected so man times trying this online I refused to let my insecure thoughts take control. On August 7, 2017 me keeping going paid off. My article was published. That was a stepping stone because I was often rejected. I started hubpages but I did not just start doing this. I did the same on some other page a few months ago and had the same problem.

As you can see I work for the City of Hollywood as a part time laborer. I do this on the side. Not really in it for the money but it will be beneficial to me. Hopefully soon I will be doing it full time. Money is not my motivation in doing this. I do it because it is what I love. I can write all day long but work will not allow me to do so so I dedicate hrs before work and after work to do so. Being on here reading some of the work is awesome. I have the app downloaded on my phone and when I am at work I tend to squeeze in a few paragraphs but its nothing like being at your computer doing something you love. Personally I love it. I am really happy I found it. I was about to just give up on writing period.

The next day or two after my article was published I checked my account and saw that my article was featured. I was really excited. Right then at that moment I just started writing. I was writing before that but started doing it more because I was featured. Even tho I was featured I still considered myself in boot camp because I was still learning. I never intended to stop learning. Right now I feel I can ,make this a career again.

Read them on the Go

I already said it where I work and how it is not easy doing this at work because I do not work at a desk. I cannot bring my laptop to work because I do a lot of moving and I know that one of the attributes of writing articles for sites like hubpages is continuously updating and engaging with others. So I said to myself " since I downloaded the app for facebook and do it why not do the same with hubpages?" I downloaded the app to do so and do just that. I cannot type full articles but pull out my phone and read others and comment on them. So what I do is type the articles at home and read them on the go.

Hubpages is a great platform for many who desire to write. I love it. Even if I do not get the money I desire just the platform alone is good enough but its been a known fact that it is not a place to get rich but surely one to push me in the direction I have been trying to go for years, Its awaken something that I have had hidden within me for a few years now. Almost ten years. Like it has inspired me I hope it does the same for you. Release that desire you have had jailed within you. I know you waiting for the right time but that right time maybe right now. Invest in your craft before someone else does and make money doing it for themselves. It's OK to be cautious but you cannot let fear control you when you are trying to be great
