HUB stands for Honesty, Uniqueness and Brotherhood: A two-factor model

Updated on July 20, 2012

We write our thoughts, publish a hub and pray to God that our hub goes fine. Then we continuously try to track the performance of our hub in the hub community. Hubpages has become an essential part of all the hubbers. Everyday we login to check comments on our hubs, new followers, number of clicks and most importantly earnings. But what are the prerequisites of becoming a good hubber. In this hub, I have tried to explain what HUB is all about and how a novice to this community can reap the all the benefits of the Hubpages.

HUB stands for Honesty, Uniqueness and Brotherhood. At the outset, let me tell you HUB is not the abbreviation used by the Hubpages, it’s just something I have observed on the Hubpages. Put differently, the expansion of HUB is based on my experience. The honesty, uniqueness and brotherhood are the main qualities of your hubbing experience. Each of these qualities is of two types. So HUB is a two-factor model. Let me explain these qualities to you.

As they say honesty is the best policy. You can win many hearts and followers being honest. Being dishonest and liar you will have only enemies

HONESTY

Being honest is biggest virtue not only on Hubpages but every avenue of life. In the context of Hubpages, it means that you should be honest while writing your hubs. First and the foremost thing I mean by honesty is that the content of your hub should not have any type of plagiarism. You should write the content as if you are making a movie for the audience who will keep coming back if they will like it. Believe me your honesty will be reflected. Secondly, you should be honest while writing the comments on the hubs of the others. Comments should be like your honest suggestion as it will help other hubbers improve and make Hubpages a great reading and writing place.

Uniqueness is the virtue that can make you easily visible among the crowd and can make you center of attraction.

UNIQUENESS

The second quality that your hub should posses is uniqueness. You can write a hub on the any topic you want, but just ensure that it looks a new piece of reading to a reader. The uniqueness of your hub should be revealed in two ways. First the article title should be so distinctive that it attracts the reader. When a reader starts reading your hub the exceptionality or the presentation of the text should engross the reader. Choose any topic (such as Women transformation, mother, father, wife, fashion, love letter, recipes, travelogues, nature, moon, tree, dancing, crying, winning etc.), but try to make it unique by amazing articulation of the words. Do not forget to correct grammar and spelling as wrong usage of both can spoil the uniqueness

BROTHERHOOD

Brotherhood is the essence of the hub community. To be accepted by this community needs patience and results in constant inflow of knowledge from other hubbers through their hubs. You should be very friendly and appreciative in your approach lest you might lose that brotherly acceptance. But if you are criticised for your hub, that criticism should be dealt in subtle manner. Another brotherhood that is very important for the hubbers is the brotherhood of Hubpages with Google Adsense, ebay and Amazon. You should not write anything which is against the policy of all of them. Offending these bothers or NOT sticking to the rules can lead to your cancellation of the membership of Hubpages.

So keep these three fundamentals in mind and you can easily get the desired success on Hubpages. I hope you enjoyed this Hub. Happy hubbing.
