Every day I receive hundreds of messages on various social networks, where people are asking me about how I can make good money or how I became a $50k blogger?

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate Marketing is online marketing. In affiliate marketing, you promote the products and services of other businesses on your blog or email lists to generate the sale.

When your efforts generate sales, then you earn a commission. You can also call it revenue sharing, where businesses are paying you to commission to create sales.

If you have a product or service that you want to promote then you can hire affiliate marketers or if you do not have the product and still want to make money then you should choose product and services that you want to promote on your blog and make money with your affiliate marketing efforts.

Some bloggers are generating thousands of dollars every month with affiliate marketing. It is simple, but many bloggers make it too complicated that they are not able to produce a single sale.

Like every other blogger who wants to make money online, you may have the same question that, when Adsense is there for bloggers to make money online without doing any marketing then why bloggers should go for affiliate marketing?

I will answer this question also.

Adsense Vs Affiliate Marketing:

There is no doubt that Google Adsense is the first love of every blogger. The very first way that a blogger tries to make money online is Adsense.

Adsense is the best contextual ad network and paying high to its publishers as compared to other systems. To make money with Adsense, you have to get your blog approved and then show ads using Adsense ad code. You will only make money when someone clicks on those ads. You cannot ask others to click on ads as they will get you banned by Adsense.

Most of the times you can make between $0.03-$one click.

It is not easy to get Adsense approval on your blog and also Adsense is cutting down the value of click every year.

Now let’s see, why you choose Affiliate marketing over Adsense?

In Affiliate marketing, you will make money only when your efforts generate the sale, but the same time earning from a single transaction is more than what you gain from Adsense.

For example; if you are promoting a product of $200 and commission is 20% that means a single sale will help you earn $40, which is enormous then the earning from Adsense.

Tip: To make money with affiliate marketing you need to find the best product or service.

Now let’s see how you can choose the products or services to promote on your blog so that you can make money with affiliate marketing.

How to Choose a Product or Service to Promote:

1) Think of your niche:

The very first thing that you need to look for before finding a product or service to promote on your blog is your blog niche.

Your niche gives you a bright idea about what type of products you can promote on your blog.

For example; If you are running a Smartphone review blog that means the products you can quickly promote on your blogs are latest Smartphone and accessories.

But if you try to promote health products on your Smartphone blog, then you will end up with 0 earning.

Why should you choose a product according to your niche?

The answer is simple; your readers are only interested in those things which are related to your niche. So they will not buy anything else.

2) Think of your readers:

Readers are the most valuable asset of any blog. You cannot generate sale by making them fool or promoting wrong products.

To generate more sales, you need to understand that what is the exact product or related product that your readers are highly interested.

If you can analyze the behavior of your readers, then you can easily understand that what kind of products will attract them and convert easily.

3) Affiliate Marketplace:

Now as you understand your readers and niche, the next thing is to find a good affiliate marketplace where thousands of businesses are running campaigns for affiliate marketers. CJ, Clickbank, Shareasale, etc. are the most popular affiliate marketplace.

Why do I recommend affiliate marketplace?

Finding various products at one place is comfortable.

You can easily reach the threshold payment amount as earning of all your sales will be counted together.

Various Payment options such as PayPal, Wire transfer etc.

You can also use the affiliate plugin called “Affinities”. It helps you to find affiliate product by running Google search efficiently.

4) Write reviews:

Writing review is an art. When writing a review never become bias. Always tell the truth and cover all the pros and cons of the product or service you are promoting.

Remember that you should only promote the product which is valuable for your readers.

Readers also buy those products which they find helpful.

These are the four steps/ways that will help you to find affiliate products that your readers will love to buy.

Remember: Affiliate marketing is a serious job. It makes you rich if you utilize it well.

I have been an affiliate marketer for more than three years, and I have never regretted my decision. Every year, affiliate marketing is helping me earn more and more money.
